That's almost or past 80 issues a month equaling almost $300 a month!

With that many books,you would be getting a nice fat 25% discount at my shop.

I get a 10 or 15% discount. My shop kind of sucks. They just give the flat discount, plus they mark up their back issues, plus it's tough to get a lot of indie comics from them. But the dudes who work there think it sucks, too. It's basically the owner who does all that crap, since he's the one who actually has to make money.

From lurking on other boards,I constantly see users from the TO area talking about stores selling at US price.Sounded nuts to me,but I guess they can get away with it.

Have you seen the cover prices in the last two weeks? Marvel comics are finally updated to reflect the piss poor American dollar. We're only paying 5 cents more then Americans do.
For awhile Silver Snail was the only comic shop to honour the exchange rate and they were only doing it with trades, at least in the Ottawa area. Their policy on that made me drop my sub at The Comic Book Shoppe and start one there and I was with my old shop for close to 7 years.

Phyla's okay. I'm not too much for her, "I'm not good enough attitude" (Granted I haven't read comics in a few months, I'm not sure how that's progressed). Hulkling rocks. Genis is basically a poor man's Sentry. "I'm crazy, beeyotch! With power! But not as crazy, or as powerful as that other guy. Even though I was here first." And then goes all emo and calls himself "Monica" in the end.

She got over the "I'm not good enough" thing in her Annihilation: Conquest mini-series.

Genis was not the same as the Sentry. You make it sound like the Sentry has the market cornered on crazy superheroes. Genis was crazy in entirely different ways for entirely different reasons and actually did stuff, as opposed to sitting around like a lump of ******ed uselessness all day. Plus, he wasn't as easily manipulated as the Sentry, who's basically fallen in line behind Iron Man like a b****.

[off topic] Is that Doakes he's headbutting? I'd love that! I've read the books but don't have Showtime (Dex would be all I'd watch). What I've seen is the first example ever of media being better than the book it's derived from.[/off topic]

The consensus seems to be that Dexter's second season is vastly better than the second and third books in the series.

I know, I'm just making fun of overgeneralization in a nod to the other thread, where the Hulk was declared the ultimate winner in rather complex situations.

But Genis DID fall behind the Thunderbolts, and went all "Yeah, you hit me, but I'm okay with that." And Genis was a lump of uselessness, except for getting Moondragon some tail. And the universe thing, and being the end of all things thing, too. Though the Sentry was mocked up as being an end of universe sort of thing, as well.

But the stealing Monica Rambeau name would've happened if he hadn't "died". You know it.
