Welcome to the official Reverse-Flash thread.
But who do you think will be?
Professor Zoom, Zoom or Daniel West?

And which actor do you want to play this character?

Right now I'm more interested in which look they could go with for the character in a cinematic version than who they cast for the role.

I've always liked Zoom's power set more than Professor Zoom's. It's more interesting to me. At the same time I also feel that character wise Professor Zoom makes for a better foil than Zoom. None of that played out "friend turned enemy" mumbo jumbo just straight up selfish villainy which is a great contrast to Barry Allen's selfless heroism. So he gets my vote.

I'd want Professor Zoom but with Zoom powers.

I don't know about Zoom how are his powers different?

Zoom's powers are based around time manipulation, he slows down time relative to himself. Prof has his own Negative Speed Force and his powers are gottagofast like everyone else.

From wikipedia
Zoom can alter time relative to himself, as opposed to using the Speed Force like most of the DC Universe speedsters do. He can apparently use this ability to move at "speeds" rivaling those of even Wally West, and usually "faster" than the speeds that even Wally can muster in most cases. Rather than actually time traveling, Zoom is controlling the speed at which time flows around him, allowing him to go faster or slower in time than everyone around him. Since Zoom is not actually moving at superspeed (rather, he is greatly slowing down time relative to himself, and can make himself so "fast" that even most of the Flashes look to him to be moving in slow motion), the temporal nature of his speed allows him to avoid the usual problems encountered by other Flash-type speedsters (friction, seeing and hearing at such near-light speeds, et al.), whose automatic and unconscious use of the Speed Force overcomes those problems. As he is moving at a normal velocity, and the rest of the world is "slow", those hindrances simply do not affect him. This aspect also means that he is unable to become intangible like other speedsters can by vibrating their molecules at certain frequencies.

Even if his powers are not tied to the Speed Force, he has twice shown the ability to grant superspeed to other beings, granting Cheetah a speed rivaling Wonder Woman's, and restoring Inertia's speed, freeing him from his Speed Force-induced paralysis to turn him into his apprentice. This ability is related to the manipulation of the timestream, as he can allow others to tap into time through himself, and shut down this connection at will

That's why I think as opposed to the Flash, this Reverse Flash is the best to contrast the scarlet speedster IMO.

Zoom has cool powers, but i prefer Eobard. i'd go with a Flashpoint Paradox type story for the movie. alternate timelines are super interesting

Too soon for that.
The show already has an alternate timeline, original time line has Barry living and growing with his parents, and them attending his marriage to Iris Russel.

In terms of casting choice, I was thinking something along the lines of Bradley Cooper or Eddie Redmayne. Guys a good actor, however, I'm not sure if he looks indimating (However Eobard did not look that intimidating in the comics as a regular person)

May I ask a question?
there is something that confuses me a lot...

to use the cosmic threadmill, we have to run on it...
so, if zolomon was paraplegic, how did he use the threadmill???!!!

and how could he run after receiving his powers?!

Looks like whole spidey cast will get recast. What about Dane Dehaan as RF?

Ethan Hawke as the Reverse Flash. Please.

Zoom's powers seem to have some frustrating limitations. For example, the regular speedsters can run say 100ml very quickly both in terms of 'normal' time (viewed by normal people) and themselves (even though mentally they can react fast enough).

For Zoom, that's got to be the most boring and tiring trip ever, since for him he's taking a 100ml jog like anyone else trying it. To us he can do it quickly because he slows time, but to himself he's still taking +10 'hours' or however long even the best marathon runner would take to do 100ml...

Am I understanding his powers right?

He steals a car and drives to where he needs to go. Before turning his powers "off" he hides the car and then pretends he ran the whole way. It's what bad guys do.

My pick for RF, at least before Ben became Batman was Casey Affleck.
