Jonathan Hickman's pitch:

"Secret Invasion is over.

One man knows that in this new world - this darker now - the ideals he once served are broken relics of a greater generation... they are no more.

He knows his government can no longer be trusted, nor can any country or corporation. And no longer are heroes or vigilanters willing to do what is necessary - to do what it takes to make things right.

He knows this.

So he is moving all his pieces into place. He is assembling the players, and he is fully aware of the stakes... He knows what it will cost and he alone is willing to pay it.

Nick Fury has returned... and he has a plan.

I honestly should cut back on my Bendis titles. It is obvious his writing irritates me more often than not.

And Caselli leaving A:TI for SECRET WARRIORS!? BOO! I mean, it is a good career move, as Bendis is Marvel's #1, but it still stinks. To me, he was THE artist on AVENGERS: THE INITIATIVE.

Yo-Yo is also the worst named speedster of all time.

How many titles is Bendis gona be writing post-SI? He's got New Avengers, Dark Avengers, Secret Warriors, that new Spider-woman series comin next year, and not to mention Ultimate Spiderman, jeez thats kinda overkill isnt it?

I'm thinking Spider-Woman might get pushed back yet again...but who knows.

Not to mention POWERS, which ships occasionally.

Hey, when you write lines like he does, it isn't always hard. :p

Bendis has sometimes juggled up to 6 ongoings at once, I think, without being late.

Bendis is the man. This title is going to be good.

I like Bendis alot but i feel like too much of his writing gets nauseating after a while. Bendis works better in small doses.

You guys are forgetting that Jonathan Hickman is involved in this project and most of the ideas came from him.Bendis has mentioned in the past that Hickman has come up with the meat and bones of this project.

So all you Bendis haters can relax a bit.:yay:

Has Hickman written anything really good before?

Nightly News,Pax Romana,Transhuman and something else which escapes me at the moment.

A real breakout indie talent. His work on Nightly News and Pax Romana where he wrote and illustrated was just mindblowing.Very unconventional and bold.

I think the panels with cap are flashbacks but maybe that's just me.

Yeah, it looks like flashbacks of Fury with his Commandos in WW2. I guess when they first met Cap.

The complete concept is still a little unclear, but what it sounds like so far seems brilliant.
Almost rebuilding the superhero community the way it needs to be to prevent things like SI, and to prevent distrust, secrecy and showboating

I loved Nightly News, so I'll be picking this up for Hickman.

I'm in.

The only two reason's I'm getting this is: 1. Co Writer, and 2. the art.

I'd say one of Bendis' biggest problems of late has been "decent/good idea, horrible execution." I'm hoping Hickman balances that out.

I think Caselli is an odd choice for an espionage fueled book like this.Someone like Butch Guice or Clay Mann would have really elevated this.

Caselli is a fine artist, but it's just weird seeing an artist of his style tackling a gritty book like this.

It's worked so far in the Avengers SI tie-ins featuring the Secret Warriors.

Yeah, when Bendis is involved, you can never be so sure.

So how many "super teams" does the Marvel Universe have now!?
