The Official Serenity Thread! (Make no more)

Nah I like Jayne, he just needs more screen time for fights. The way he close-lined the Aliance guy, caught him and smashed his head into the ground, in the film was cool.

no more whedon. ugh anyone can write the same as him, hes no genius.

um...yes he is. If anyone can write like him Catwoman would be awesome. So, sorry, but you're wrong. He's a God among directors.

I don't like him either.

:D
So you love Serenity, yet hate a quarter of its cast? :o

How? He's only directed a single film. If Whedon is a God among directors, what's Spielberg? A Titan?

so you have to direct 48 films before you can be considered a genius? please. i consider Serenity genius. and whedon. and it makes no difference how many movies hes directed, imho hes a friggin genius.

your easily entertained if you think this guy is a genius.

i keep reading the title of this thread, and seeing "serendipity 2 & 3?"

Serenity II: The Wrath of Mal
Serenity III: The Search For Wash

No, I like all the cast and characters, there's just aspects of them I don't like. Not a big deal. My fave is River.

Joss is a Geek God. That's what I meant. If there were a religion dedicated to him I'd use it lol jk

When I first read that I thought you said "I'd use it to *******." Ha.

There is one, btw. It sucks.

IMO.

I think Jayne is one of the best characters, he never has any main fights though, i would have liked to have seen him against Jubal Early, and The Operative.

The Operative was so clihed but so well done that I didn't give a toss

I think it would be cool if he fought River. Continuity be damned, that'd be a cool fight

That would be a cool fight. I thought The Operative was excellently done by Chitewel Ejiofor (sp?), great performance and an excellent addition to the cast.

I like characters that believe in what they are doing. Its way better in the end when Mal spares his life and shatters his beliefs. That's happened to Mal when he lost the war, his beliefs were shattered.

It was a surprise that Mal didnt kill the Operative, but a very welcome one, Nice to see the bad guy turn good instead of just getting killed. What he saw on Miranda definately changed him. Imagine Mal saw him just after the Haven incident, i'm pretty sure he would have killed him there and then.

You know, fellows, I have heard two rather intrigueing rumors.

1) The Sci-Fi channel is interested in making a series of made for TV movies out of the Firefly/Serenity verse.

2) Some guy is petitioning to buy the rights from Fox and produce new episodes in either direct to DVD releases or on On Demand.

Yeah, i've heard both of those rumors, but i would prefer another cinema release movie.

I did like the fact that Mal wins the fight but gets his butt kicked while doing it to. I hope that the cast can be in the made for TV movies, if they happen.

Jayne and Wash get the best lines.

Jaynestown is one of my favorite eps. It's just so damn funny and Wash's response is my .sig. That line has become a common saying in my family when someone is excited about something crappy.

If they can't do another movie(s), I'm all for a series.

Sci-Fi Channel, IMO, is spending WAY too much money on mind-numbingly stupida$$ creature features and disaster films (lava in NY City?!), why not bring Firefly on board.

For some odd reason, I just CANNOT get into Battlestar Galactica. I've tried. I've really tried.

I wonder if WW does well, will Joss be able to get Serenity 2 off the ground though?

Maybe...but WW is Warner Bros. and Serenity is Universal, and Firefly is FOX. It's the studio really.

They really need these two back. They were great.

I would take the first option.

Gladly.

Yes, but it's possible if another studio sees he can be successful, they'd give him another chance. Though I doubt that will the case here/

Has anyone heard about UPN and Warner joining forces as they have the worst ratings in USA TV right now?
