The Official Serenity Thread! (Make no more)

I just learned that Mike Massa (Stunt Double for Angel (David Borenaz)) was the stunt double for the Punisher...cool....nerd moment.

HMM...OH! Joss did Angel...I forgot...I was wondering what that had to do with anything lol

Yeah I had a loose connection to this thread but where else could I put my Joss stuff. lol

I've figured out how I can support Serenity Day without buying a second copy of something I already own... HD-DVD! If anyone here intends on buying Serenity for HD-DVD (it's already out I believe), i suggest waiting for June 23rd. I'm not completely sure i'll be buying the HD-DVD version, it depends on what special features it offers, and whether I even decide to support HD-DVD (I prefer Blu-Ray), but If i do, i'll wait until that day.

Anyways it doesnt look like we will be getting any news for a while Joss seems stuck into Wonder Woman and his other project. Even if Serenity doesnt get a sequel i do wish Joss and the whole crew and especially the cast lots of luck in the future, whatever they decide to do.

I wonder how much the movie has made on DVD now, anyone know?

It's made a profit. Now the studio has to decide if they want to make a sequel. Worse and less profitable films have gotten sequels before, so I wouldn't be suprised if it happened.

Y'know, you are right there. *coughHollowMan2cough* I would love to see the characters again. I doubt the studio would invest the same amount of money in a sequel, but it could easily get something (low buget movie, TV mini-series, whatever).

Dudes, chect this out:

(thank god they haven't noticed that this is a cleverly veiled bump!)

Yeah. Obviously meant to look like old western movie posters from the 50s and 60s.

I loved this movie. Never saw the TV series but the movie was a lot of fun.

Has there been any news on any continuations of Serenity/Firefly at all people, havent heard anything for a while.

Nope nothing but I think they are going to do minis though.

Mini's as in comic books you mean, well thats a ***** as i can never get hold of them.

When I saw Serenity, I viewed the film as someone who did not watch the tv show. I really liked Serenity and the story. Now I have recently bought Firefly on DVD, and I feel very disappointed that this show got cancelled and talks for a sequel hasn't even begun. It's just one of the richest things I've ever viewed and easily Whedon's best idea. (I do love Buffy and Angel.) If this doesn't get picked back up for a show or a sequel, it will continue to be the crime of the century.

Joss has plenty of love from alot of people. I am sure even though the film flopped (pitty too, it was quite well made) We will see more of the Firefly crew in one form or another.

Flop? The film made the studio a tidy profit when all was said and done.

^^

Doesn't insue a sequel though.. i did read somewhere that some telemovies are being considered.
