I get the dig on him, but to be fair 300 was a pretty big unexpected movie

Oh, I know. And I liked 300 for the most part. The movie's flaws were more the story than anything else, and that blame falls on Frank Miller (and even so, it was still enjoyable).

And I still like Snyder. I loved Watchmen, and I really, REALLY want him to knock it out of the park with Superman. But I must admit that after seeing Sucker Punch, I'm worried.

Sucker Punch was just an original concept that got away from the director. It should be different working with a wealth of source material.
