The picture quality isn't great because it was taken on my phone, but I'm incredibly happy with the way it turned out.

oooo, how big and where you getting it?

I was going to get it on the back of my neck, but I had to rethink it, so now its going on the chest/ribcage area. Its not going to be massive, a few inches across- don't want it too small either though.

Edit; within the next few weeks, I'll post pics when its done. :yay:

I'll keep my eye out for the pics :)
(I check this thread every time there's a new post ~ Love seeing people's tattoo work)

As of 7/17/09 i got my first Tattoo. Wasn't so bad.

My gf is "working" (scrubbing tubes, sweeping, cleaning, answering the phone etc..free mind you) at a high-end shop in town now.
She just bought her first set of guns this week, so in the near future I see myself being a guinea pig again...which I'm pretty excited about...though not nearly as much as she is.

The human body is almost 75% water. His wrists are almost 75% water. "This Is Mostly Water" would have been more accurate. :o

that's what i was initially thinking, but i was wondering if there was something more to it than that

Hahaha, I'm pretty sure that's not actually it.

From what I've heard, it's some literary reference. It basically acts as a reminder of the important things in life. Or something.

I'm sure he'll explain it to you. He'll be explaining it for the rest of his life.

"There are these two young fish swimming along and they happen to meet an older fish swimming the other way, who nods at them and says 'Morning, boys. How's the water?' And the two young fish swim on for a bit, and then eventually one of them looks over at the other and goes 'What the hell is water?'
~
... simple awareness; awareness of what is so real and essential, so hidden in plain sight all around us, all the time, that we have to keep reminding ourselves over and over:
'This is water.'
'This is water.'

It is unimaginably hard to do this, to stay conscious and alive in the adult world day in and day out." - David Foster Wallace.

Hrm. Now I'm wondering how an explanation like that would work in real-life. You'd either have to simplify it greatly, or hope they have the patience to listen to that entire thing.

Another way of explaining could be to state it as a notion to not take things for granted. The fact that we able to percieve what 'water' or anything, really is.
