The Official TIH Preview Thread

Exactly. If the reviews are good, and the fans show up opening weekend, that should get the general public interested...

But honestly; the average movie critic will probably slam the hell out a movie like this, unfortunately....:csad:

yeah, the final fight will be ripped to s**t by critics but the fans will end up loving it

I don't care if it is only 40 seconds long, that clip kicks all kinds of a*s.

I think the reviews are going to be poor too. What are the chances that three Superhero comicbook films in the same year are going to have good reviews?

You know what I really really like?
the music and the sounds, the siren of the police car when hitting Abomination and all the little broken glass sounds. it all adds realism to the piece :)

You're assuming The Dark Knight is going to get good reviews.:cwink::woot: Just kidding. I'm sure both Hulk and Dark Knight will be good summer movies.

What's funny is, one of the things many critics complained about in Hulk was that it was slow. I'm betting TIH gets slammed for being too much of an action oriented popcorn flick.

I HAVE A RARE DISEASE CALLED CLIP-ITIS, I CAN'T STOP WATCHING THIS CLIP, SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!!:(:oldrazz::D

26 minutes actually.

And the new clip looks better than all of Iron Man!

Whoa whoa whoa. If Incredible Hulk beats Iron Man as a film, it'll be the undisputed king of comic adaptations. I'd love to see it happen but we'll all have to wait and see.

That 26 minute final fight time seems to have come and gone. At first it was rumored. Then, the director shot down the time in an interview at the NYCC. Then, that interview clip has been intentionally altered and cut short before Louis' comments about the fight. Now, I read it's at 26 minutes again? Could this have been the sticking point of Norton's preferred cut? Marvel wanted all 26 minutes? Just wondering as we've all been following along closely.

LOL...LOL...LOL...Joker talking is better than anything I've remotely even seen here. This movie will flop cause it won't have too many second viewings. Looks like a one time run until the CGI is just going to drain people cause it's bad on all grounds

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA Man you HAVE to be high right now, because that is the single most STUPID thing I have ever read on these boards.

First of all Sin City is the best adaptation to date
Batman Begins is the best film overall out of comics
300 was the most visually stunning and did it's thing with CG
Spiderman is the top grossing due to cheese and corneyness making kids as low as 5yrs old accept it and go for second viewings with daddy and mommy

Ironman was...good

Hulk will not even scrape Ironman's 2nd week. Hulk is just not that cool and Ironman looked better in the effects department. Hulk looks very cartoony and will stray a lot of average adults. The trailers have no substance but ACTION and people are getting beyond that type of marketing.

...Wow. That's all I can say.

When the first trailer was released I thought this film looked like completely crap (same goes for the effects). A new trailer and 3 clips later I think this film looks simply amazing. I REALLY hope this is the Hulk film we've all been hoping for.

Personally I hope that it is pure popcorn goodness. I want to see two creatures beat the crap out of eachother for two hours...along with a good story and characters. Thats my idea of a good comicbook movie. I don't think it's wrong to want to be entertained by a Superhero movie.

I felt like a freakin kid when Iron Man was facing off against Iron Monger in that movie, I love robot fights. I go to these types of films for that very reason, they can be deep in there own way and they don't always have to be the same but I'm not looking for "No Country for Old Men" when I watch a freakin Superhero flick.

Don't get me wrong I'm not dismissing the flicks but if it you are going to have deep crap in your SH film it better be interesting deep crap or I don't give a crap.

that's what happens when you have no arguments at all against the Hulk movie, from people that come from other boards.

I really don't know why but Im absolutely not excited at all about TDK. I like the actors, I like Chris Nolan, but... I think Marvel is doing a great great job on bringing this heroes to the big screen. Im positive this movie will be lots of fun :woot:

I hope you stick around after the movie comes out. No matter what kind of business it does on the weekend, good or bad, I'm eagerly awaiting your opinion on it more than anybody else's. You seem to have something against this film like a disgruntled Marvel employee or something.

For me it's the Dark Knight fans that are killing it for me. Batman is my favorite superhero and I love the movie series but at this point I'm hoping it bombs out of spite and I'm curious to see what a mass suicide looks like.

No kidding. And I read that the last scene between the two is supposed to last over a half hour.
Dude..... All I can say is dude.

this is really off topic man but what Palanhiuk book is your sig from? its Survivor right...or Choke...I think Survivor.

I understand what you mean.

What I can't understand is why some people want this movies to be a failure at the box office, or whatever. I'm no Batman fan, but I have nothing against Dark Knight. In fact, I might go to see it too, but not with the excitement I hold for the Marvel movies. Maybe is the lack of any really good scene from the trailers, from my point of view.

The thing is, why people from other boards come just to talk badly about this without proper arguments. That just bothers me. One thing are opinions, but this is something different.

I'm not rooting on it to fail but I am rooting on it to underperform. I'm sure it will be a decent movie for me but I'm not really excited about it and will more likely than not see it on DVD. The fans aren't the reason for my non uber excitement for the film though.

I am gonna be completely honest with everyone.
I want Godman to leave...he is nothing but a negative and annoying voice that absolutley NOBODY agrees with or cares about.
Hey Godman....you should leave, please your ruining my hype and I know you probably will feel proud of that but...its bad actually.

"Fantastic clip"! Also, not only does The Abomination actually speak, but his voice perfectly fits! Frightening. Now if only The Hulk would say something besides "AAAARRRGGGHHH"!!!!! :whatever:
he says hulk smash in the movie

ISS, thats what alot of us want. I dont really want an Oscar winning emotional thrill ride through a man tortured psyche, I want the Hulk. I want to see the Hulk Smash. Closer to the comic level smash of Tanks and Missles. Not the TV show smashing of Redneck Mafioso, furniture, and Foam brick walls.

I just want it to be Incredibly entertaining. If it's cool enough, that should happen.
