I think he was referring to the attention span aspect of watching a long movie and paying attention in school. A flawed comparison and a fallacy of course admittedly.

I know...I was half joking. Its just a silly comparison. A movie like Transformers 2 isn't something that should be watched at school...people should be reading textbooks. So yeah, that comment made me laugh a little at the irony.

Box office/blue ray sales says crap. People always change their minds on movies after seeing it a 2nd or 3rd time. I've lost count how many people have said they've bought a movie and found that they didn't like it anymore. Hell, look no further than Star Wars Phantom Menace. People flocked to the theater for that movie. Saw it 5+ times. Sold a ton of DVDs. Now people consider that movie a freakin joke.

Of course people change their minds, but the sales have nothing to do with people getting sick of a movie. They still bought it.

That's funny cause Devin was on AOTS a month ago talking about how the first movie was half decent in theaters but he could never watch it again cause he knows he wouldn't be able to take sitting through the whole movie again

His tweet says he really likes the first Transformers. No he didn't. I'm not trying to defend this movie because I haven't seen it and I'm not sure if it will be any good, but I will call Devon out on being a *****e. CHUD used to be a pretty good site, but once his geek cred rose he started actually thinking he was anything more than a fat nerd. He's like that guy at the comic book store on the Simpsons.

Apart from Megan Fox, the best characters in Bay’s first film were Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. But here their screen time takes backstage to a pair of tedious Smart car-style Autobots called Mudflap and Skids. They’re the robotic equivalent of Jar Jar Binks, but exactly twice as annoying.

Bigger, brasher and noisier than anything you've seen, it's certainly a visual spectacle with great special effects. Right from the off, Bay wastes no time in showing us what a $200m movie looks like with a spectacular face-off in Shanghai involving a gigantic shape-shifting unicycle.
Later, when the action moves to the Middle East, there's an almighty mêlée that'll appeal to everyone's inner idiot.
Thing is, none of it really hits home since nobody's bothered with a storyline - it's just a series of battles held together with the ropiest of dialogue.

The problem with Rotten Tomatoes is that it has two distinctions, all critics and Top critics. The Top critics section is usually a better indicator. To note, the first TF was @68% for Top Critics, while for all critics it was 57%. Metacritic takes just the reputable/top critics and is better than Rotten Tomatoes for reviews anyway IMHO.

It's clear by all reviews that this movie is a total mess (and I aint suprised). It's exactly what I expected. So poor that they can't make more out of these films then pure awesome CG! It's not that hard, really.

Sorry guys, but it looks like your movie is REALLY BOMBING! It keeps on falling over at rotten (a site I trust with blindfolds on). STILL I have to see the movie for my self. I really wanted this one to be better than the first, but it doesn't sound like it will be.

Bad Boys 1 (NOT 2) was actually a very very cool GOOD action flick! Unlike these TransFormers flicks where CG is all the flicks have to offer. Seriously, ask your selfs this question, if you will: What would these films be without the badass CG??? Absolutely N-O-T-H-I-N-G. And that's not beeing cruel, it's simply the truth.

Ps: He IS laughing all the way to the bank!

Spoiler free review

-Optimus is BAD ASS in this film, just like the cartoons. No one messes with Optimus (unlike the 1st film, where he got taken down easily by Megatron)
-The film is very funny, lots of laughs
-Megan is WOW! t:

It's better than the first & although it won't win any oscars it's the perfect summer blockbuster. I think Bay listened to the fans and made the film more faithful to the source material than TF1! It will defo make a bucket load at the box office. Watch it regardless of the RT score!!
