I'm gonna give this game the benefit of the doubt and rent it from Gamefly. Hopefully, it'll be somewhat better.

As long as I can play as The Fallen sooner or later.

i just got the game, so far i love it, but like the 1st game,there are ****** missions, but worry not, salvation is at hand!!!, multiplayer is the ****!!!! it is that awesome, Deathmatch is great, we can see battles like Starscreams vs Megs or Optimus vs Ironhide and stuff like that, but playing as a team is way better.

its not the best movie tie-in or Transformers game but it is good 8/10

man someone get the PS2 verison lol, im gonna wait and see reviews, althou i think it'll look like the wii.. however i just read an interview where they say that Krome studios, developed different versions for wii and ps2... well see

How do you take advantage of the PS2 control version as opposed to the Wii and its controls?

One of the biggest challenges is making the ps2 version and then moving it to the Wii so they created the wii version first and transitioned them since the wii controls are more simplified. This is why the different platforms have unique versions.

How is gameplay for the PS2 version? Will game play lag like in the first game?

A lot of technical issues from the first game were addressed. The second game was completely built from the ground up to allow for better gameplay. There is a coop additive that can be done with the single player campaign for the PS2

I just picked it up. I like it, but the fact that you have to hold down the right trigger to stay in alt-mode takes some getting used to. A major complaint among the reviews is the lack of cutscenes. I can agree with that, but to me, the biggest flaw of the game is that Sideswipe isn't a playable character. I don't even think he shows up in the game at all. Making Ratchet a playable character was a step up from the last game, but there really should be more playable Autobot characters. Screw Breakaway, he can't do anything that Starscream couldn't do before. And where are Arcee and the twins, for that matter? At least make them playable in multiplayer.

well i guess the rumors were right, yea i heard about sideswipe not being a playable character, ironically it is playabe in that crappy version for PSP, and yes no twins or jetfire either

Meh is game is medicore. Its better than the first game but thats not saying much considering the fact the the first was was CRAP! Seriously this game is not worth 60 dollars and is not one of the good movie based games. Bland graphics, no presentation, boring missions, so so voice acting, short single player story. The mutiplayer is the only some what good thing about this game but even that cant warrent a purchase in my opinion. The mulitplayer will last a few weeks or a month or so before no one cares about playing it. I am glad I only rented it. I am transfomers fan too but when are they going to give us a good game not a medicore one.

If you want to play a good movie game play Ghostbusters, X-men origins Wolverine, Chronicles of Riddick all of those games are better than this.

i'd say This game is definitely worth renting the Gamestop i went to had the game on a Xbox 360 and i played the Campaign it is really repititive i was playing as Ironhide and had to do something with Satelites. It Was really fun transforming though. Didn't like the fact you had to hold down a button to stay in the Alt mode. but i think the Multiplayer is the only reason you should buy it.
