1-0 United - Elanga. Against the run of play but at least we took the chance we got.

2-0 Greenwood, nice counter attack goal, best football we have played tonight.

Happy for Rashford, he needed that goal he's had a rough few weeks on the pitch, nice goal as well. Greenwood's goal was lovely teamplay from Ronaldo & Fernandes, unselfishly I might add, squaring it to him for a tap in rather than going for glory himself.

Elanga's goal was also decent as well, nice little ball from Fred I believe it was & he took it well. All our goals were good quality IMO.

Fernandes soured his own decent performance tonight with that chip attempt at the end, tried to be too clever for my liking.

So Utd and Spurs both won spicing up the top 4 battle. Haven't seen the games yet.

Think a few clubs having been bending the rules on Covid lately to make things a little better for themselves and get players back fit by getting games postponed. Both teams involved tonight have been guilty of it as it happens. Has made this season another mockery at times and perhaps some punishment should be dealt out but it wont.

Liverpool leading the EFL semi 1-0 over Arsenal. Edit: make that 2!

Liverpool win and will face Chelsea in the final. At least that can be a small consolation for one of them for stuffing up the league lol.

All too easy for Liverpool, Arsenal are not really progressing under Arteta in any real fashion thats going to frighten the top sides.

Even if he does improve will he progress to Klopp/Guardiola level? Even with a good manager the gap will get bigger to the clubs with elite managers.

Biggest spenders in Europe this season and it looks like the only improvement we might be making is maybe moving from 8th to 7th, or 6th. It should now be either get top 4 or bye bye, but he'll likely get a new contract. If United get Ten hag then it really is game over for us. Rather than go and get a top quality manager to replace Arsene Wenger, they chose the safe option in a decent, but not great manager in Emery and then decided to be clever and go the cheap route and hire a rookie thinking they would be unearthing the second coming of Pep Guardiola.

What a good waste of juice.

Top 4 is the big prize but getting top 4 in the PL going forward when the top 6 and more find form will be like winning the league in some other countries. It’s not like the old days before we had an unofficial top 4 with Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool. Saying that with Arteta you may not finish in the top 4 again at all while
he’s here. Utd and Spurs won’t be off form forever and other clubs like West Ham can also be a threat.

Xavi is the best manager ever! He is already better than Ancelotti or Zidane.
Ter Stegen>>>Courtois
Alves>>>>Carvajal,Vazquez
Araujo>>>>Alaba
Pique>>>>Nacho
Alba>>>>Mendy,Marcelo
Frenkie De Jong>>>>>Kroos
Busi>>>>Casemiro
All young name midfielders>>>>Modric, Valverde, Camavinga
Ferran Torres>>>>Asensio, Rodrígo
Jutgla or who>>>>>Vinicius
Danish Braithwaite or who>>>>Benzema

etc. etc.

And Haaland want to be Barca player :funny::funny:

Duvan Zapata from Atalanta and Robin Gosens apparently Toon targets.

Norwich beat Watford 3-0. Bit worrying if they start coming into form now.

I think Arsenal still looks like they are improving but it also becomes a question of how much is a credit to Arteta and how much is the money spent on good players. Would a better manager do better with some of the talent they have? Possibly. The biggest concern should be all the red cards. In 4 games in 2022 they have 3 red cards. 14 since Arteta joined (?) and the next team on that list was I believe Southampton with 8. Something really off there.
