It was a very rushed job.Kelsey Grammer shot his cameo as part of addattional filming in early 2014.Future beast wasn't suspose to be part of future scene originaly.It was only after bryan Singer started to see film put together he decered to add Beast to it.

I love how Singer is greatly attached to the OT cast. I would really spend money just to see them for one more time in another movie together!

With the great reception for The Rogue Cut, I don't see why they shouldn't use the OT cast again. They are part of the series.

I think the original cast needs a final chapter. Besides X3 being a sour note and DOFP not really being an OC film, Fox's franchise will need a good mature team film with familiar faces after X number of solos and prequels full of newbies & children. X5 would rock.

I think if they transport Apocalypse, Archangel and Psylocke to the present/future period... and let them interact or battle Iceman, Rogue, Colossus, Shadowcat and the older version of Jean, Storm, Cyclops, Professor X, Nightcrawler and Beast, it would be awesome... then add Gambit into the mix... it would be massive... of course there are gonna be new faces if that happens. At this point, I think the only one that would be missing is Wolverine since Hugh Jackman already said that Wolverine 2017 is his last film in the series.

I think with Hugh Jackman leaving after Wolverine 3... I think that would give the other OT cast members to shine more specifically James Marsden and Halle Berry. But if we are to get a 5th film with them... I think it could be a cross-over with the young-ins (ala Battle of the Atom) or Deadpool or Gambit teams up with them or a cross-over with the Fantastic Four.

Story-wise, it'd be fairly simple, IMO, to have the older versions of Xavier and Co. star in a crossover with the Teller and Co. Fantastic Four in the present; getting the actors back would be less simple, but could probably be done for the right amount of money.

If no OT sequel will happen, I'd settle for cameos in the New Mutants film. I want more Marsden Cyclops. Give the guy his due already.

And throw Paquin in Gambit while you're at it.

I took it to mean the FF would be going back since they would be the ones with some form of transporting technology

And Sean Connery returned to play James Bond three times after he said he was done...

Jeff Bridges returned for a Tron film thirty (!) years later.

If they have a great story and audiences and FOX still want him (why wouldn't they), then it's "never say never"...
