I just saw the other Holly is the same actress that plays Astrid on Marvelous Mrs. Maisel. Poor Astrid, she just tries so hard.

You guys are right about this show starting to feel a little dragged out and while the last episode was slow I'm still completely hooked by it. I'm actually starting to love the fact that the more it goes along the more it's starting to feel like the X-Files when it was in its prime.

Just imagine if that show was made for HBO and this is pretty much the result IMO.

After giving this version of Holly a shot I've come to realize that I just dont care for how she's portrayed or comes across in this show Maybe it's the actress but I just don't care for her here.

Yeah that cliffhanger ending was annoying, especially when nothing really happened for most of the episode except for a flashback. I'm just hoping this last episode delivers, but I'm not expecting them to go too crazy with the full reveal. I'd love to be wrong though.

It kind of feels like you could easily cut half of the episodes, there are so many scenes where just nothing is happening. Especially those driving scenes...

I didn't even realize there was only one episode left. I was expecting the story to get "bigger" somehow. And we've barely seen

Andy die? I didn’t see him at the preview. I actually thought he was going to bite it sooner when he kissed Holly. I was holding my breath expecting his head to be blown off at that scene.

I think they’re setting this up for a possible 2nd season. In the preview, it said “season finale” and not “series finale”.

Well that was a finale I guess. Now, I'm not going to say that it didn't have its moments because like a lot of this series there definitely were some tense sequences, especially the big shootout and the final confrontation, but yeah the payoff just wasn't satisfying enough for me and it was pretty much exactly what I expected to happen. I'd be curious about a Season 2 because I did really enjoy it overall, but this really felt like a one off mini series.

The ending had some awkwardness in how it played out, but overall I really liked the series. I'd say it's pretty comparable to the novel. There were some changes from the book, but to a large extent I understood why they did it, and I wasn't left dissatisfied or feeling like a do-over was needed.

I'm not sure how this would even be continued as a series, so I'm assuming until I hear otherwise that it's self-contained like it should be.

That was one of the most poorly executed finales I've ever seen. From the opening sequence to the final moments, it was hard to care about what was happening.

Then guess I'll be the odd man out and say I enjoyed this finale. The shootout for the first 10 minutes was some gripping stuff and that tease at the end with Holly having a scratch would, like Watchmen, be a good setup for a second season if this show were to continue. Yet I feel, just like Watchmen, that it would be best as a one and done.

I thought it was all right, just not the best episode in the series and a bit of a letdown after the one preceding it (and not as good as the same material was in the book). I didn't even know there was a mid-credits scene.

El cuco never touched Holly, though. It could have been another el cuco, but I don't know why it would want to impersonate one of the few people who know these things exist. Other theories I've heard people propose don't really add up to me.

conveniently stopped when it was Holly's turn and why the heck did Holly say "who's Terry?" Terry was what got her hired. I didn't know about the after credits scene either until it was mentioned on Twitter so I had to go back and rewatch. I don't know what to make out of it. What the point of the focus on El Cuco's hoodie?

This would've been perfectly fine as a one season show.

I'd seen it pointed out that Holly's hair moves weirdly in that scene, and upon watching it it happens for too long a duration for me to think it was an editing mistake or something like that. My best explanation for it is that Holly is supernatural in some other way (telekinetic?) and that the scratch on her arm is just misdirection so some viewers won't notice the hair thing. She didn't have the scratch in the scene where she left Ralph's house, and it wouldn't make sense to me to reveal the el cuco had scratched her and reveal that she could move her hair like that at the same time.

Jack just stops shooting, and the demon basically does nothing in the "final" confrontation... For a second I was worried they were going to do the predictable "oh no, we got the wrong Claude" at the end, so I'm glad that didn't happen

I would watch a season 2, but it's fine if it ends here. I doubt I'll be thinking about this show at all in a couple of weeks

I myself was wondering why they called this a "season" myself. It was the complete book and there was no sequel. I have no idea if or how they would continue it.

For me I didn't hate the finale but I thought it fell flat after the shootout. I wish they spent more time on showing how remorseful they were on getting a man killed and making him look like a monster in front of the whole town instead of just the DA coming over to say sorry. Also they really need to replace the actress who play Holly.
