Tonight Show interview w/ Colin featuring an exclusive clip from the show

Digging the premiere and I absolutely love how seamlessly the end of The Batman flows right into the series. It's like time never stopped, and Colin Farrell continues to shine, but Cristin Milioti is incredible in her own right. Will definitely have to rewatch this first episode when it re-airs on Sunday. I just adore that the tone is consistent from the film, while also showcasing the rest of Gotham's criminal underworld.

Watching the pilot, looking gorgeous, and it reminds me of a poster who got banned for being a POS complaining about how the show looked still in production. Went on crying about it for pages on end. Happy he's gone.

This is great so far and I'm definitely looking forward to seeing more episodes. Colin Farrell is pretty much certified at this point as Oz, and I can't wait to see how his relationship develops with Victor.

I honestly don't see it ending well but I'd love to be surprised. Also, its pretty cool seeing Rhenzy Feliz in another comic-book show again after Runaways which was a super underrated show IMO.

It will be a shame not to hear Oz throw around F-bombs in the Batman part II, lol.

But for real, I really enjoyed the hell out of this. I had a smile on my face the entire time. It really was a seamless transition from the end of the Batman; straight into this new series.

Reeves and co are cooking.

Brilliant , just Brilliant.

Heath Ledger was the first actor to truly make me scared and uncomfortable every time the Joker was on the screen.

Now , I can say Farrell is the first actor in decades worth of portrayals of the penguin, which truly made me feel that he was a real flesh and blood person with substiles, complexities ,
and nuances to his portrayal of a character, whose usually been played from one extreme, to another.

Meanwhile Cristin Milioti is the spitting image The Godfather and Rocky actress Talia Shire circa the 1970s , yet conveys a menace and instability that doesn't require her to
be a physically imposing figure as in the comics .

This lived up to the hype so much that the thought that was going through my head from beginning to end of the episode was “this is so ****ing great”. Just so felt so good to be back in this version of Gotham and getting to know more of Oswald and his world and how the criminal element of Gotham operates which we don’t see often since we’re always seeing Gotham from Batman’s perspective.

Sofia is going to be an interesting character to watch and I already really like Victor’s character. Also has it been confirmed that Matt Reeves Gotham is set in New Jersey because Victor’s ID said Gotham NJ which is a nice touch since I think it’s the same in the comics. Overall a very solid start to this series and great expansion of The Batman’s world. I need the next episode now lol.

This rips.

Sofia being part Lilith (Fraiser/Cheers), part Aunt Martha (Sleepaway Camp), and part Connie Rizzi (The Godfather) is ****ing genius.

Colin continues his excellence as Oz.

…easily the best interpretation of a mother for Oz.

Vic being the ‘negative Robin’ is dope.

They definitely love the comics and are perfectly expanding Reeves’ Gotham;

Jason Todd homage
The Hangman
Bristol Township
Robbinsville
BURGESS JEWERLY
Wayne Tower

…this is how you do a spinoff comic tv show.

I believe in Matt Reeves.

How do you know it's HBO? F bombs and boobs.

I know it’s not a competition but between this first episode and Peacemaker compared to the 10-12 or whatever Marvel shows there is a clear quality divide between the two. DC is getting behind their creatives and trusting them to do their thing with these projects and we see the results and it makes me looking forward to Creature Commandos, Peacemaker S2 and Lanterns over any potential Marvel project besides Daredevil. I am enjoying Agatha so far though I might add.
