Hopefully this isn't a dumb question
But if you don't mind me asking, how do you achieve this effect here? Is that Photoshop? That's really cool. I wouldn't mind taking a crack at a shot like this soon. Speaking of Photoshop, I'm looking forward to getting it once I get a new pc. As much as I enjoy Irfanview, it ain't cutting it anymore when it comes to my photography. Time to upgrade.

Not into competition, my hands shake too much uncontrollably I need something that makes the picture steadyGuys I can say this truthfully if you have any love for this hobby of ours, do not and I mean DO NOT ever enter into competing photography, it will kill your love for this faster than you can blink
I have just come from a competition round and I am not bitter because I didn't win, I expected not to but I am seething with anger over the judges comments there is critique and there is just plain insulting people.

Thanks for the heads up though, it's appreciated

sorry mate i'm just ranting, i can take criticism but personally the judge seemed to be just ignorant. i mean these are the 3 i entered 2 you have seen
1.

judges comment: obviously taken at some stunt show, rather than a race or rally, so the photographer knew this event was going to happen not much thought, so all he had to do was frame the shot. completely predictable
2.

judges comment: over sharp, over busy and really just lacks any form of substance, in truth a confusing shot.
3.

judges comment:though sharp and well taken, all credit should do to the builders, all the photographer did was press click. complete lack of input and there is no point in a shot if the photographer has nothing to do with it.
thankfully after speaking to other members i'm not just being bitter, he seemed to annoyed quite a few of the members outside of the "inner circle"
