While cataloging new Lego, I like to muck about:
Canon usually has a better video functionality than Nikon so my advise to you is to check some Canon cameras.
Watch a lot of photography tutorials on youtube or read some blogs related to photography
I have so many food pics, but I have neglected to post them in fear of being labeled 'that guy who always posts food pics'
Taking food pics is okay as long as you don't do it in restaurants.
Wow! Some nice shots in here, as I've been away awhile on this thread. Keep up the good work, and really love the food shots. I do agree with you, long it's not put on FB with a crappie cell phone shot. Hahaha.
Either way, here is one I got with my son today at the park. Almost didn't get it as he was lighting quick.
Had a friend pay for me to attend a Motor racing weekend last weekend....My hoots from the weekend.

Tack sharp! Nice. I might have to send in my Tamron 28 - 75. When I shot my first true newborns, and when I was at 2.8 they ended up being really, really soft. Cost me between 120 to 250 buckroo's to fix. =( Ugh.
Anyways, for a bump, and something different. Not perfect as I was experimenting a little bit, but this what came of it.
Those are ****ing awesome ali!
Thanks to all that have served.
Hey Vartha, nice shot nice to see you in this thread.
@Solid, more please
I'm an artist I do everything lol
My puppy when he was about 3 pounds! Now he's full grown, a little over doubled in size. Hard to take photos because he's so fast!
This is gorgeous.
Thanks. Wasn't to hard at all, but I would love to get more in depth than just that. ONe of these days if the wind starts to behave.
Love to do stuff like this guy: https://www.facebook.com/LuisArgerich Should check out his site too.
Love the lighting, and very moody. Very well done, IMO.
did a shoot a few weeks ago with a great model down at the titanic quarter in belfast havent had a chance to go through everything yet but got these 3 so far
my canon rebel xt that i had, had died late last year
and my family is giving me $500 towards a new one, for a job i did. i can feasibly afford 100-250 more out of my own pocket if i can find an amazing deal
so i'm looking for info on DSLR cameras. I am looking for recommendations. i'm going to use it mostly for sports photography and portraits, so any help is muchly appreciated.
Get a T3i and put the rest of the money into lenses. It's not full 35 sensor, but then you get a huge jump in price that isn't really worth it unless you're like professional.
In the Ti series, the t3 is pretty much the same as the T2, but the screen flips which helps outside. The 4 is not much better than the 3 but it has a touch screen which is super handy (but the screen has a lot more glare too), the 5 is SLIGHTLY better than the 4, but it's actually worse for video.
So yeah, T3i, get a really good SD card (Sandisk Extreme 32 or 16), and some lenses. (There's the "nifty fifty" for $150 - it's a really nice 50mm prime lens).
With all of that, you'd be looking at $750 for a really good kit. (Get the 18-55mm T3i stock, not the 50-120)
Thanks I have quite a few on FB I'll PM you a link to my Spring album as THIS one one of the summer album
One of my recent fave images, I took this on the 17th
