Excellent album. It's definitely the soundtrack to my summer.

Very upbeat and cheerful album.

I recently checked out Ratatat album "Classics" and I must say, I was impressed. It's a step up from their debut.

Neutral Milk Hotel are amazing!!!!!!

also..check out Cancer Bats. One of the best new bands i've heard in a long time....from Ontario, but i do believe they have airplay, video play....can't say forsure though since i don't listen to the radio, or have cable..or watch tv for that matter.

I used to despise John Mayer's music...probably because I knew he could be better. He's a great blues guitarist and yet he made these really commercial, Dave Matthews clone sounding albums. And the ladies just ate it up. I guess I don't blame him for trying to be successful but he did seem to be a bit of a sell-out. Anyway, last year he released a fantastic live blues album and now he has a new studio album out called Continuum. He's dropped the Dave Matthews clone thing, thank god. This album is pretty mellow like his others but with the blues and soul it's great.

Audioslave's new album is awesome. Much better than Out of Exile. Chris's voice seems to be getting better, more like it was on thier debut. And I don't know why "Original Fire" was chosen as the first single. It's not the best song on the album by far.

Neutral Milk Hotel are far from lame....mellow yes...but lame...not even close

and.. everyone should check out Sage Francis.. it's rap, but it's good rap with more positive messages and problems that actually pertain to society and life.

I have to say, I've not been really impressed with Audioslave's previous efforts. They've just come off as flat and soulless. I picked up "Revelations" today, though and WOW! I'm LOVING this album! Soulful and funky! They're definitely finding their own style as a band, now, rather than just trying to be a Rage Against The Soundgarden hybrid. This is a GREAT rock album!

No joke, or they got too big or something. I don't really remember the reason...but I was really looking forward to another album.

Arctic Monkeys, anyone? People are saying they suck, but I happen to think otherwise.

M83, I can't place words to describe this album..Their new album 'Dead Cities, Red Seas & Lost Ghosts' is amazing too.

I said the same about Arcade Fire once before, and now I'm kicking my ass for that. It's one of those albums you gotta give multiple listens before it settles in.

How does Continuum compare to his John Mayer Trio stuff? I really dig that album quite a bit. His other stuff makes me want to put his mouth on a street curb and kick the back of his head.

I saw JM trio on Direct TV and I will say this... he earned my respect. When he first came out years ago I hated his music... especially that song he made for Jennifer Love Hewitt. Anyway... saw him live on Direct TV and he can play some god damn blues out of his guitar.

I'm not totally sold on buying his CD but knowing he can play that well earned my respect.

Yeah, he's a much better guitarist than he lets on in his other albums. He still pales in comparison to some of the guys on the scene that are really playing the blues, but he's definitely got promise and I hope he continues pursuing the blues music and exposing it to his more mainstream audience. Blues is a gateway drug and maybe he'll get them hooked on it and they'll explore some of the other artists out there.
