The Rest Of 2008

I forgot to mention that it's also kind of an old school sort of game. I really can't remember that last time I saw a new sidescrolling game. And I sure as hell can't remember the last time I was excited for one.

Also not to mention that you can make and share your own levels and characters. All of which have an extraordinary amount of customization and flexibility.

I've heard it will be sort of like Youtube except, instead of videos, you have platform levels.

Also for me it's just a nice break away from all the series dramatic titles. Little Big Planet could never touch a MGS4 or GTA4, but it's walks to a different beat so to speak. It looks like something you'd just pick up and play for the point of playing without having to worry about characters dying, or cataclysmic events.

That's a very good reason, too.

For me:
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed
Spider-Man: Web of Shadows
Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2
Gears of War 2 (If it has rank, I sold GOW because there was no rank & I couldn't get good)
Lego Batman

Here's a LBP gameplay demo -

and here's online co-op -

Online is shaping up nice and looks like fun.

To my understanding you can also design your own levels and trade them with others. Little Big Planet will have Tons of replay value. Pretty much you can play a level any way you or anyone else on PSN can imagine. Top it off with Pixar level graphics and the ability to create anything you can think of and I'm sold.

Definitely:
Star Wars: Force Unleashed
Mario Super Sluggers
Lego Batman

Maybe:
Ghostbusters
Banjo Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts
