Jow, you know I respect everything about you. You have been a major resource here. But basically the whole article is direct quotes from Nolan and Roven. I don't know if you go and falsely quote someone like that. I mean if they made it up, don't you think they would have taken the approach of some less than reliable sites and say they heard from a brother of the guy who runs the catering service or something like that. If they weren't directly quoting Roven and Nolan I would put a huge red flag up, but for now I am just cautiously optimistic with this news.

Somehow I don't believe this.

Especially cuz I've had multiple sources telling me that the IMAX footage is NOT in the movie at all and was filmed specifically for that reason.

the I AM LEGEND rumor has not been confirmed. i think too many people are getting confused by the word "prologue".

Anyway, what he's saying is that the footage shown won't be included in the movie, and I don't believe him 100%, and neither do I believe the new report 100%. They're both rumors. But I thought we could take to the bank that something will be shown before IAL.

All I'm saying is I've heard from more than one person that this IMAX thing was shot specifically for just that.

There are IMAX scenes in the film sprinkled throughout and the prologue was a way of showing how "amazing" they will look. A trailer for them specifically. That's not to say they'll show clips from all of them, but just give the general audience an idea of what they'll be like --- to boost opening weekend IMAX sales.

Furthermore everything that we know is aimed at this was labeled as "a pre-shoot"
We know it was shot in IMAX because of that one pic with the Joker behind the frosted glass.

And then on top of that it sounds a little too fan-boyish to say he'll have the lenses. Wouldn't we have heard about that already? Wouldn't it have been included in the article that outlined all the specs on his new suit?

This has nothing to do with a bruised ego, I'd love to have footage from the film included in the IMAX preview, I'd love for him to have the lenses.

But it just isn't lining up for me.

Meanwhile, a German website Kino.de has a very good article about The Dark Knight. The site is in German, after I translate it with Yahoo here’s what I got:

• Batman will go to Hongkong for some kind of “gangster hunting”, but the producer Chuck Roven won’t tell us why Batman travels to Hongkong.
• The IMAX preview with I Am Legend is the first five minutes of the film.
• “The whole thing is not ‘Joker Begins’, because we did not tell how the Joker became what he is”, says director Christopher Nolan. “During these five minutes it is shown how the joker of the small crook becomes the most-dreaded gangster of the city - it is more of a “The Rise of the Joker”
• Batman’s new mask will have white lenses on the eyes when he turn on the Bat-sonar detection.

HOLY FAWK. I was wondering when we were finally gonna get a "white eyes" Batman.

And I KNEW we wouldn't get a new, tedious "joker orgin" story arc (thank god).

That would be alright, this stuff about 7 minutes of footage or a prologue or knowing the backstory 6 mos. before the movie comes out...........seems like a bit too much, much more than I want. And plus the way Nolan works, he would be much happier just giving us viral sites and logo teasers.....................we're not getting that much info before the movie comes out, Nolan doesnt do that.

lol i'm not talking about a minute of footage.

I'm talking about the report we heard a long time ago where the Joker shot the bat-pod to explode, batman flipped off and landed and joker gets a knife to Batman's neck. Right as he's about to cut his throat.....click. Gordon with a double barrel shotgun to the back of Joker's head. Joker's eyes roll up and he speaks, "Can ya give me a minute?"
