The Robin OYL Thread

Well, then things have changed, that's freakin' awesome! More Waid the better, I say.

Awesome. I hope Acuna takes off after this arc, though. He's good on covers, but I'm not a big fan of his interiors.

I agree. I definitely think Acuna has got a lot of great talent but when it comes to interiors and carrying a story, it's just not working out that well. It could be WORSE but there just isn't that flow that you generally get with many other comic artists.

You're telling a story here, people, not trying to just make pretty pictures. :oldrazz:

I loved Acuna's art on Uncle Sam, but it's left me a bit cold with Flash. Maybe it was just the tone or scope of Uncle Sam that was more appropriate, or maybe it's just the moronic kids that are ruining everything.

I liked him on Uncle Sam, too (although I like Arlem more). I do think it's more the tone of the Flash story. Acuna's art doesn't really strike me as super-fun art, and Waid's definitely approaching the Flash as a lighthearted, fun book. Or maybe I still just associate Waid's Flash too much with Oscar Jimenez and Ringo.

Well, Dixon on Outsiders and Robin. This should be something else.

And I am failing miserably. Can anyone direct me pls or is it none existent?

looks like you just started a robin thread... whats up?

Here's one. Kind of old, but I think people have just been talking about Robin in the Batman: RIP thread, since it's tying into that.

Well I have a question: How come in the DC Holiday Special this year, Robin is made to look a foot shorter than Wondergirl?

Tim Drake is one of the most inconsistently drawn characters ever. I fully believe that there are no internal notes whatsoever at DC about how he's meant to look beyond "he's younger than Dick Grayson."

Yeah, pretty much. He's drawn chubby sometimes too, which is weird.

Although the first issue (or second) of RIP has him stuffing his face full in just about every panel he's in.

It seems like half of DC's writers realize he's a 17yo boy, and the other half are still under the assumption he's 12...

Thats funny cuz when he first showed up, he looked like he was 23

He's like Benjamin Button. :(

WTF is sethcohen i have to know how this guys knows me, ****ing stalker.

it was a joke, and yea you are a stalker, but i've done the same thing :stalkerhighfive:
