Anyway, I have an idea for an RPG. It's set on a bus full of people and thewre's an explosie device attached to the underside that will explode if the goes under 50mph...

I'm going to call it: "The Bus That Could Never Stop".

I'll be joining the LOST RPG

I've only watched up to Season 2, but I'll be catching up on episodes this weekend with my gf. I'm sure this RPG will spoil me like mad, lol. I may just sign-up as Boone ...

Btw, are you sure the RPG should take place 1 week after? We could start the RPG the first day the plane crashes. Would be fun rescuing people from the plane crash and then having to establish a camp (whether it be on the beach or somewhere else).

We discussed the possibility of starting it at the time of the crash, but Sensei and I realized that the "Oh, no, our plane just crashed" storyline would prove to get old quickly.

What would people say about letting the players of characters established on the show (Locke, Sawyer, Kate, etc) make their own past for said characters, as long as they don't completely alter the characters themselves? It's a question of people wanting to do flashbacks to before their characters were on the island, but the show has pretty much done all that can be done with the castaways' pasts.

But like you said, there needs to be limits on altering these characters' pasts. I'm down with the idea!

If we're going this angle, why not also change the mysteries of the island somewhat as well?

It should be put up for a vote, because in theory, players could just flashback to things in their character's past that the show didn't, but for most of them, like Kate for example, there are things that don't really give room to anything else to be built on.

I unfortunately am not interested in a Lost RPG. If not for the fact that I like to watch the show rather than write about it, it has a cast of characters as extensive as Why so serious? did, and that failed. Besides, I don't have much room to add more characters. As it is I can't join the new Marvel reboot because I don't have enough room, and that's the next RPG on my joining list.

Surprised so much talk about a LOST RPG is being discussed when I recall people wanting to do it before and getting not nearly this much support. Of course, that doesn't mean it's a shoe-in this time since the list is still small. With the RPGs as slow as they are, not sure a new RPG is the way to go.

On the bright side, all the RPers in the LOST RPG will be together as a single group, so there won't be the ever common "Characters scattered all over the place, only communicating with NPCs" problem in many of the RPGs here. Should encourage all the players to stick through the game longer

I'm feeling pretty excited about this. Especially since MM and I had an idea that is sure to keep the game exciting, action-packed and intensely *****ed up, just like the show.
