I'm pretty skeptical about this show, I fear it'll be another Smallville, you've got a character that you already know the ending for and they're trying to fill in the blanks on the "lost years", which limits the growth potential of the character. I just don't see enough material for 22 episodes per season, are we gonna have a "Terminator of the week" scenario. So the pilot will be John and Sarah destorying another Terminator? What next go after Skynet, again?

I think the difference between this show and the fox shows that got cancelled is it's got a built in audience. Fox usually bases their decisions to keep or cancel a show on the ratings from it's first few airings. There's no way a tv show based on the Terminator films is going to get low ratings. Fox is going to promote this like they promoted that piece of crap Dark Angel. Even garbage like that made it on air for 2 whole seasons.

Why doesn't Fox just give a show an entire season if the pilot gets picked up,why do they treat each episode like a pilot instead where it can be cut at any time?

Heres what I dont understand:

I thought it was declared that the reason why the terminators all look like Arnie is because they come off an assembly line (plus the deleted scene in T3 confirms this). But, here we have a guy who obviously doesnt look like Arnie.

Maybe they will explain this.

I've always believed that each model has a different look. So tere's really no need for Arnie in the first place. I wouldn't honestly mind it if this was post-T3 during the war, but their goal must be to screw with the mythology of the series that much more.

I'm just considering it AU.

Oh god, that was by far the worst part of T3.

Don't get me wrong. It was a funny moment but beyond that, it didn't add anything particular worthwhile to the series.
