Josh Friedman and Ash Miller both were twittering about the show. Why is it so unbelievable that someone from Scifi channel would, too?

I just think it's a bit silly to cite any social networking site as a news source...I get that you are looking for some hope out there, but it's time to let it go

BL is right, Tim. I've already let it go but TSCC will be remembered and I'll remember why I gave it a second chance.

I'm already moving on, because I do not expect anyone to save this show-- frankly, I think it's too late. On the bright side though, at least now I pretty much have total creative freedom for the fan comic that I was hoping to produce in the near future. If doing the fan comic gives myself and others closure, then I think it's a worthwhile investment of my time.

Also, if you're tciked about how Fox cancels their good shows or runs them into the dirt, and/or don't like how they've taken what was once a great movie studio and turned it into a cinematic toilet, then join the Fox Hole!

As others have stated Fox gave this show a chance by giving it great prime time slots for the first 1 and 1/2 seasons. The Friday move was understandable (though ultimately nill, as they never got a solid show on their Monday nights at 8). This isn't like Firefly or Arrested Development where I feel Fox ****ed up a brilliant show and got one off the best shows ever in each's case canceled due to stupidity. This is more like a decent, but extremely flawed show just couldn't catch a big enough of an audience to justify being on a network.

It is too bad. Hopefully Glee will do well.

Exactly. This is one of the few cases where Fox was justified.

Oh and just for the record Crowe, Prison Break's first two seasons were very successful in the Monday at 8 pm time slot and the House 8 pm, 24 9 pm line up was ratings gold for Fox.

Summer Glau wrote a very nice thank you note to the fans of the show.

Dear Friends,

Here is my long overdue thank you note to anyone and every person who has watched our pride and joy Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles… Now that our season is done and I somehow feel far away, I want to say that it wouldn’t have been possible without faithful viewers; and it wouldn’t have been fun to make without such sincere interest from you…

I choose to post my note on Cristelle’s website so that I could also thank her for the beautiful work she has done, on my behalf, for this site. I come here to reminisce from time to time because she has posted so many of my best memories. Thank you Cristelle…

Anyway, I just want to say that acting for anyone who enjoys it is a privilege. Thank you all for helping make that possible. I am devastated that our show will not be back (Jameron forever!!!), but I can’t say that I’m ungrateful for the opportunity to be part of something so special. I’m really proud of what our team put together and eternally thankful to all of you for embracing what we were trying to do…

I love Josh very much and thank him. He pushed to make me part of this cast and created a series that was unique and beautiful. James Middleton held us together, staying with us everyday on set and talking us through every step… John Wirth and Jill Danton are all- stars that I pray I work with again….ALL of our writers. Toni, thank you for giving me Allison from Palmdale…

I was just going through my scripts this morning… (I thought it was time). I picked up-

“Born To Run”

written by Josh Friedman

I’m going to miss that so much. I’m really sad…

You know I’m not good at posting things but this is my effort. I’m not very brilliant, witty or poetic like my mentors (you know who they are) but I love you, S

Aww, she's such a peach. She's been from the very start. :O

I feel bad for Glau. So talented, but she just can't seem to find an audience. :(

I think Glau would be better off being added to the cast of an existing show

not true

the show's she's casted in just need to be written better and be adaptable for television

The "Terminator" franchise is definitley not a franchise fit for televsion regardless how you write it. There's just not enough substance in it

how the hell do you keep a series about Killer robots traveling through time going for more than a couple of seasons? you can't

it's gets repetative and played out

The movies do a good enough job of expanding on the mythos and covering all that needs to be covered, and nothing more

plus, I don't think people cared all too well about a "female" robot protecting the "future leader of mankind".

I agree that it wasn't something that was long for television...it just wasn't the right medium...i enjoyed it while it lasted...

...DVR numbers don't matter all that much to advertisers as they are smart enough to realize people fast forward through commercials on DVR. The DVR numbers are supplemental to a network. They will not make or break a show. Fans who really believed DVR and online viewings would save this show are fooling themselves.

how the heck do you explain dollhouse's pickup then if DVR and online viewings don't matter?

So did I. I'm just glad its over and I go back to...getting back the sleep I lost because of TSCC. Lulz.

I do feel sorry for Glau, she is easily the most talented and simultaneously most underappreciated member of the cast. After this and Firefly, producers may stay away from her. It's too bad, she's quite talented and I hope she finds success with a hit someday still.

she's got the looks and the talent

just not a good track record for picking the right projects

Actually, if you go to http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/ the majority of the forum is made up of Jameron and Summer fans...so sorry to put it this way, but Summer is not easily the most underappreciated actress on the show. I would say that Lena is because she got the most harsh criticism and considering how much work and dedication she brought to the role of Sarah, I feel bad for her. Take a look at the forum, there is only one thread devoted for her and the rest are mostly Summer/Cameron/Jameron/Alison threads.

I have nothing against Summer. I own Firefly and Serenity and I liked her as Cameron but there is no way TSCC could have been all about her, cause if it was then where would that leave the rest of the cast and characters? The members on the Wiki claim to say that the show is entirely about Cameron/Summer. How can that be when the title of the show is called The Sarah Connor Chronicles?

Honestly though, I think they've been watching a completely different show than what Josh Friedman wrote and whatever he did, got me hooked on it in the first place.

Its a shame really, that the majority of TSCC fans consider the show is just about one character and to me, I loved every single character and thats what made me enjoy the show all the more. If you dig one character and the only actor who portrays that character and if I was that person, I'd get pretty bored of the show half way through.

Hm,

I wasn't talking about her devoted fanboy following which loved River Tam and followed her to TSCC. Honestly, seeing her on the show was one of the first things that got my interest about it. And I don't think Cameron was the best character, despite being the most popular. I thought the show did a brilliant job in developing John into a leader in two seasons and is a far more believable and worthy bridge to Christian Bale than how T3 and Nick Sthal handled the duties. I also loved the Derek Reese character and wish he had not died, but it seems moot now anyway.

\In any case though, I was talking in terms of talent. I do believe that the reason Cameron was the most popular is because Glau has a unique screen presence and special charisma and is probably the best actress on the show. I wasn't talking about how popular Cameron is with the fan community and how many fanboys may fantasize about her, I was talking strictly as an actress with a good talent for being able to so convincingly and genuinely emote at that young of an age and being incredibly physical in her body language, blocking, acting, etc. and this stems from her being a dancer which is another plus side for her talent.

Despite playing a character who was emotionless most of the time she brought wry comedy and and charisma to the role, plus being attractive the fans gravitated towards her. She was obviously a supporting character, but the worst episodes in the series were the Sarah-centric ones (visiting a funeral for a whole episode? The alien abduction episode? How about one where we spent an episode of her in a cheesy LA sleep clinic that was in fact a dream within a dream?). The episodes that focused on John growing up or were more action-oriented which meant Derek and Cameron ran point were the better episodes and the most interesting ones were the ones that delved into the action supporting characters, Cameron and Derek's, histories.

But that is neither here nor there. I say underrated in terms of talent. Given her history, Glau was an immediately recognizable talent on Firefly and nearly stole the show from the equally underrated Nathan Fillion in Serenity. Yet, she only gets offers to play more crazy people on 4400 and apparently Unit (I never actually watch that show) and a killer robot in this. Her career seems stuck in eccentric high-concept television shows. I think she has more to offer than that.

In terms of the fan community I do agree Lena is underappreciated, but that was because Sarah was the weakest part of the show.

Fox will likely give it a better slot and see if it can bring in more viewers on a much reduced budget. In the end, advertisers don't care much about DVR and online numbers, thus studios don't care much about them either. Like I said, anyone who truly believed TSCC was going to be saved due to DVR and online, was in hardcore denial.

Damn it, I'm watching the second season, and this show was great, getting better and better...

Loved episodes 5, 6 and 7 :(

I wouldn't even finish it if I were you. The ending is a mind-**** cliff hanger. I think I'd be happier not knowing the end of season 2 considering we'll never have any form of resolution.

Not if...

If you just pretend John doesn't go to the future and stays with his mother and whatever measure that machine in the future will have is left a mystery. John stays with Sarah and grows up to be Christian Bale hardened by the deaths of Riley, Charlie, Derek and Cameron.
.

Clear cut that way. ;)

Then you and I agree on what we've both mentioned. I would have liked to see more of what Summer could do with Cameron. Perhaps, Sarah should have been written better with more care, aside from John but then again, the way Sarah's character was written makes you want to love her and /or hate her. I admit though, there are times where I just wanna slap her... and other times I don't agree with the decisions she makes even if they are made in the best interest for John.

For me, I was more drawn to the main story between Sarah and John but the moment Cameron showed up, the story got even more interesting. I think most of the character centric episodes weren't that bad, some were rushed, especially with episode 15 cause Friedman wasn't sure if Fox was gonna continue or cancel the show before announcing the back 9.

Its too bad we didn't see what the basement scene was about (with the piano music in the background) with Derek. That was interesting but I wanted to know why he entered the basement with the Terminator behind him. I thought that was gonna be explained in the back 9 but nope. Ah continuity error on the writer's part.

Anyway. Despite the downer episodes, we were still given two pretty great seasons of TSCC. Can't go wrong but if I had one advice to give to Josh, I would say the next time you do another stab at a t.v series, remember to balance every aspect of what you write and that goes with character development - as well as the balance between every character's screen presence. Even if it all doesn't work on screen, keep playing with it until its the way you want it to be, feels right and looks good. Oh and don't rush it. lulz.
