I guess the idea is he’s so crap that he’ll help Trump lose which might be the beginning of the end for MAGA with Trump’s age and likely more of the GOP having had enough of him that point. No need to keep the loyalty with a 2 time loser who would be 86 at the end of the term beyond the next one.
