As many have said, Electro could probably hold down the fort all by himself. Since his last power upgrade, couldnt he manipulate the electrical impulses of the human brain? Okay, so in about 3 seconds Cletus and Eddie's brains are reduced to ash leaving the symbiote flailing around. Half a second later he fries those.

Lets not forget Electro can also superheat the air around him - so good luck to any symbiotes who try and take control of him.

Thats only Electro! You add in Octopus' strength and brains, Mysterio's illusions...Venom and Carnage wouldnt last 10 mins.

If Doc Ock can match Spidey's speed and strength in a fight, and Spidey's never been impaled, or even seriously hurt by any of the symbiote characters, then Ock would be more than capable of handling them.

Heck, if Ock can fend off the rest of the Sinister Six all in one go without breaking a sweat, then the symbiotes have no chance.

Also, his smarts give him an extra edge.

I've got that saga. That was funny. He held them ALL off.

That argument only lasted 4 pages, and 5 people got banned because of it.

It's not even a fight. The symbiotes have TWO very prominent weaknesses that a man of Ock's intellect would exploit with relative ease...he'd have them licking his boots in a matter of seconds.

And that just doesn't mean Venom is going to let Otto throw him in front of a train...besides, Venom did get run over a train in Carnage Unleashed, he was hurt but survived....also Venom did defeat Electro, once, I forget the issue but it was from a more recent times, it was the one where he was going after the sinister six (Some incarnation of it, anyways).

And yeah, I know Electro was defeated by Venom.

So was Sandman, for that matter. But he was actually killed by Venom.

It would, now that I think about it, be a very close fight.

There is no need to fill one of Sandmans pointless and incredibly useless threads with a back and fourth nitpicking debate.

IMO, I truly think only Doctor Octopus and Electro would be the only real threats. The rest are cannon fodder.

Don't forget the old water trick doesnt work on Electro anymore - as I said before, he has the ability to superheat the air around him turning water to steam.

I believe he did this in his power-upgrade issue when Spidey thought he'd try the old fire hydrant trick on him.

LOL, I stopped reading 616 comics quite sometime ago. Perhaps i'll revisit the comic bookstore again soon and look for some decent reads.

Oh, and just food for thought, anyone remember carnage being knocked onto an electrified train rail in the subway by spidey, he got electrocuted but he was able to get back up rather quickly, clobber spidey and venom and make a smart ass remark before taking off like a mad track star. Believe me, i'm more then aware of Electro generating electrical blasts of a greater magnitude, but if Venom can clobber Electro (Which he did in that S6 arc) then so can Carnage.

But at the end of the day, I don't really care. Just posting for the hell of it.
