The Six Million Dollar Man & The Bionic Woman

dang I remeber when they tried this before with the latter series of The Bionic Woman where she was a private sector intelligence operative and that part was cool. but it died cause wasn't always put in the best of hour and have it's time slot moves . it start off well and there was and interesting story and the actress was younger then usual early 20's so it kinda bother with some of the love interest they tried to put her with . but beside that it was good series . too back it didn't live long enough.

I always preferred the 2nd movie Bionic Showdown that had a then unknown Sandra Bullock as a new bionic girl (she was formally confined to a wheelchair).

Isn't that really old news? It talks about a possible Dec 2017 release, which it says is 2 years from now, meaning that the article was written in 2015. It also says principal photography will begin in September 2016. Well, that worked out well.

I don't think any of that info is valid as it's all probably out of date.

you mean the one with Michelle Ryan?

oh that failed because Ryan was awful, had no charisma, and everyone else had to carry the show around her

That Michelle Ryan Bionic Woman series was terrible and was everything that the Bionic Woman was not. She was only really BWINO.

I was glued to The Six Million Dollar Man when it was first shown. My favourite episode was The Seven Million Dollar Man. Any one remember that one? Fantastic opening sequence where an old friend of Steve's challenges him to an arm-wrestling contest (in a bar IIRC). Steve turns him down initially (for obvious reasons) but eventually gets goaded into taking part - and loses! Gave me chills! :yay:

Used to like The Bionic Woman too although nowhere near as much.

Bionic Woman In Name Only. She was far too aggressive and angst-ridden compared to the original Jaime Sommers, and everything she wasn't. The Michelle Ryan series didn't remotely capture the spirit of the original.

I didn't like the SMDM when he decided to grow a moustache for the fourth or fifth season.

If that actually happens it would certainly be nice to see Majors cameo.

If you're talking about the 6 Million Dollar Man, you can't forget this guy:

Six years on from when I last mentioned this earlier in this thread, and they still haven't made a Hot Toys Six Million Dollar Man or Bionic Woman!

I don't know if Bif Bang Pow ever got round to doing the Bionic Woman in their toy line. I don't recall the other ones looking that great.

well I remember she was a brit out side of the show . and it was mostly my youngest sister getting me to see the series but she started drop off the series her self . I just had to look this actress up after coming back here and notice both of you said the actress name. which I don't think I bothered with back then.

But yeah it's her. I didn't fallow the major behind the scenes back then ether so I didn't know the other actor's were carrying her or I guess I wasn't too heavy into fallowing that back in the day with her performance . I was caught up with alot with both work and school back then.

but when I was way younger I did grow on the former siries of the million dollar man and bionic woman. I don't remember each episode. but I do remember the slowmo fight scene's and when they ran down the villains and they were in a relation ship together (the characters of each show )on their shows or were. that's pretty much it .

LOl wow I never knew Sandra bullock was once linked to this thing.

It was one of Sandra Bullock's earliest roles, before she became famous.

I rewatched the entire original Bionic Woman series again about six years ago or so. Didn't manage to watch the 6MDM though, as it wasn't available.

so From I been read with Michell Ryan it was more then bad ratings it was the first writers strike that helped kill the series. there plans to let the show run it's coarse with 18 and they gonna have a new male actor Bruce McGill added

then some nbc Excutive on the net work at the top just got flaky and pulled the plug during writer strike source: http://bionic.wikia.com/wiki/Bionic_Woman_(2007

and there plans to make it like the former series prior to this cancellation before that person at the net work did that. that was the reason different personality wise from sommers version. some was blocking from them have any more similarity

Haven't read through this thread yet, but loved the shows!
The million dollar dog Maxamillion
And Bionic Bigfoot!:yay:

I bought a Bionic Woman doll a few years ago. I tried to reroot her hair to give her something nicer looking. It was such a pain though. I never ended up completing it, because to give her a full head of hair took up so much doll hair and also ended up being very heavy. Maybe one day I'll get round to finishing it.

It was the doll with the blue jumpsuit. I just wish she actually wore something like that in the TV series, because she never did. Although I did see a friend wearing something like that once, and she looked cool in it (although she wouldn't have even known she was wearing something so similar).

I wouldn't have minded the version with the white and blue tracksuit.

I wish I had the 6MDM doll too, but couldn't find any in good condition at the time. None of these still have the skins on their forearms as these have deteriorated.

That's the one I had. I also got a German Shepherd to stand in for Maximillion that was in the same scale as her.

Would've preferred a Hot Toys version though that was a proper action figure instead of a doll with limited articulation.
