Arrow The Slade Wilson/Deathstroke Thread!

I randomly came across this. And now I want a scene with him still in the suit, but his mask on.

you want him to be black mask with a sword? ok... i guess. chances are black mask will show up on the show. i'd rather go with something more practical than a guy in a mask and a business suit fighting arrow with a sword, but that's just me.

There was like an inch that looked scarred. But that could just as well have been an injury that actually belongs to Bennett. But it didn't look like his hand was badly burned. I still think it was just a typical Dr. Claw/Bond Villain moment. Simply focusing on anything but the face.

It was more a rhetorical point of curiosity and intrigue. I reckon it'll have something to do with the Mirukuru in his system.

I doubt it. I think all it did was give him superpowers. It will be actual events that change his personality, I think.

Wait... hang on... just to be clear, we're still talking about how Slade came to money, right? Methinks you've gotten yourself mixed up over conversation topics. :oldrazz:

What does the serum in his system have to do with him coming into money?

if its anything like the comics and he can now use 90% of his brain, i dont think its that much of a stretch to imagine that it would be easy for a person of such genius to make a fortune if they so wished. The stock markets would be a cake walk.

oh snap. that's cool. i didn't know he could do that.
but doesn't that mean cyrus/grundy can too?

That's one reason why I hope the Serum didn't enhance his brain function. Because that means everyone else injected with the same Serum should get super smart too. I'm happy enough with Slade just possessing a keen tactical mind.

so deathstorke is capt America if he were a mercenary? ya ok

I'm assuming that because it isn't pure Mirakuru the effects must be dulled down. I'm hoping, anyway. I'd like to see a Deathstroke that can take on the Justice League with sufficient planning.

He should be able to come up with a plan, even with less brain power. The last time I saw him take on the League, he didn't even really beat them because of his brains. He almost beat them because of bull**** logic. Like being able to attack the Atom with a laser pointer, after he shrank down to the size of an atom. He shouldn't even have known where to point the damn thing. Or easily breaking Kyle's hand, even though he's got his Power Ring on and it usually takes more to damage a freaking Green Lantern. And of course Flash, who views the world in slow motion, is too slow to stop from running directly into a sword.

That identity crisis scene is ludicrous I agree, a blemish on an otherwise ok story.

Yup, that's pretty much the premise of comicbook Deathstroke; what if Captain America was a bad guy for hire? There are even visual clues/nods to Cap in Deathstrokes original costume.

After being stuck on an island, rolling around in mud and soaked in sweat for years...I think that could inspire any man, even one who wasn't a suit wearing one before, to perhaps become a man of taste after that.

I'd probably start eating caviar and wear spiffy, expensive suits too after living like that for years, if I could.

The island changed Ollie, and it definitely changed Slade too.

The idea of him being some kind of established professional with a bit of luxury kind of makes me want to see some of his kids in the show. Joe has already been mentioned, but since they haven't really mentioned his wife, maybe he had an affair that produced a certain white haired girl?

Part of me really wants to see them embrace some of Slade's ambiguity and drive some sharp contrasts with Merlin. I could see them portraying him as having all his personal animosity towards Oliver, and yet have him display wisdom and sanity in his approach to his estranged children. While Merlin is obsessed, maybe we see Slade find out Rose is in trouble, so he temporarily haults his war on Arrow to go rescue her, but clearly feels her guardians are better parental material than he is.

I just love the idea that while the first season's big bad treated Oliver as a distraction so his big plan could still be carried out, Slade is all about this being a private feud and revenge scheme that just so happens to include the city as collateral damage.

It's not really hard to imagine slade coming into a lot of money considering how smart he is.
