The Cat enters the diner and eat's everyone's souls. Which leads to a final epic sword battle between the cat and Paulie Walnuts.

The thing is though, even if they did the same exact scene, but just had Meadow sit down and eat an onion ring...it would've been an ok ending. It would've began where it started and there would still be something left to the imagination because Tony is still paranoid, there is still the constant threat to him and his family. For all we know, that meal could be their last. Instead, we do not have a bit of closure. It really is as someone said, a big "**** you" to the audience.

Exactly. David Chase probably got tired of everyone telling him how it should end and....

I'll give that finale one bit of props, they def kept me on the edge of my seat, that's for sure.

That works for a season ending. Not a series. It is quite honestly lazy film making on Chase's part. There were a million ways to end the series, and he opted simply not to give an ending. It is ridiculous, it is lazy, it is all around bad.

Sure, some people will call it surreal or open or whatever...but that is quite simply an excuse.

Or does it? We don't know because for some stupid reason Chase ended the show in mid-scene. No doubt so it will be talked about and cause controversy...But the only legacy Chase has secured is a bad one.
