The Sopranos Final Nine

In regards to the "Going Home" spoilers, I know there were pictures of filming online months ago from the crash site that were snapped by some gossip magazine.

Also, people who watch the shooting of the Phil murder said that they did film something with Benny killing Phil, why tehy would change it I don't know.

There were alos reports of Melfi filming a scene at Holsteins, so take that for what its worth

It really is amazing how many different episodes Chase probably could've editted together. I really hope we get some deleted scenes for once on the DVD.

I'll find the article from Agent Harris(Matt Servito) He says the scene definately extends(finale). Also Lorranie Bracco had a article, I believe on her site where she says she is certain Tony was killed.

I'll try and find them

It would be cool if on the dvd, we get to choose which ending we want. It would satisfy everyones needs. Want the whacking, select the whacking, want Tony ratting, select Tony ratting etc. etc.

I read an interesting article in regards to Tony ratting. It talked about how the whole series the FBI and Agent Harris namely have been trying to get Tony to rat, but in the end Tony was the one that got the FBI(Harris) to rat. Namely giving Tony info on Phils whereabouts and openly cheering when Tony had Phil whacked. IN the end Harris in many ways became Tony's snitch

I don't think that is the case at all. I think it was more of an exchange of information. Remember, Tony gave Harris information on the two possible terrorists. Tony and Harris have always had a unique relationship. It is a case of mutual respect and I also think Harris is smart enough to see Tony as the lesser of two evils. Phil is old school. He has no problem killing practically anyone to get what he wants. Tony on the other hand, simply wants to keep the business going, make money for everyone, and avoid any unneccessary bloodshed.

You know, that article brings up a lot about Tony's anxiety, but it also gave me an idea that no one has kicked around. Maybe Tony had an anxiety attack and that is why he (and we) blacked out?

Wow I cant believe The Sopranos was nominated over The Wire!!! This was like one of the worst seasons for the Sopranos!!! As for the actor/actresses nomination for the sopranos, the only one I approve with is James Gandonfini! The rest is very questionable, especially Janice getting nominated:rolleyes:

The Wire is real good, but its not near The Sopranos....yet anyway.
Edie Falco is an automatic...she's the best actress on TV IMO

Can anyone say with straight face that this was the best sorpanos season? **** its not even one of the best, its one of the worst!!! Wire Should have at least gotten nominated for writing! No way the sorpanos can match the wire when it comes to writing!!!

Im talking about the last two seasons!!! The first 5 are flawless! I dont know wtf happen these last two seasons! Its been such a letdown! And I think almost everyone can agree these last two seasons simply sux! Excluding couple of episodes of course...

Uh, Tony gave Harris info that had NO importance to Tony's affairs, whereas Harris DID give Tony info that affected/can affect Harris's work. I don't see a respect there from Tony; more of his tendency to use people for specific purposes, or to keep them in an illusionary good graces for purposes down the road, which turned out to be a good move seeing as to how Harris revealed Leotardo's position. So yeah, Harris became Tony's snitch instead of the other way around.

I loved the Final 9 except for the "artsy" ending
The Blue Comet is one of the series best episodes

The Sopranos was nominated because it's the Sopranos, it could've been 9 episodes of Tony taking a dump and flicking off the camera and it would've been nominated. Glad the show if off the air, maybe some new people will get nominations now.

SO you think Edie Falco and James Gandolfini are undeserving of there Emmy nominations?

The FBI does not benefit from a mob war or an old school mobster like Phil Leotardo being the head of the New York Mafia. Phil being out of the way helps the FBI.

And Tony's information WAS important to his affairs as he was doing business with the two terrorists. Harris' information was not important to Harris' work as Harris is no longer affiliated with the Organized Crime division of the FBI.

Not for this season, Michael Chiklis easily eclipsed James Gandolfini in the Shield this season. As for a lead actress, even if it wasn't the best season I'd give a nom to Kristen Bell in Veronica Mars, she was still great in the role even if the stories weren't as good as previous ones.

I didn't say the FBI benefits, but its involvement with the Mafia (duh) certainly comes into play. And what world do you live in? Ever heard of conviction rates? That's what the FBI needs, not yet another murder that they probably can't solve that shows the Mafia is still around, powerful and beyond the grasp of the FBI. Really, that's just common sense.

And Tony's information WAS important to his affairs as he was doing business with the two terrorists. Harris' information was not important to Harris' work as Harris is no longer affiliated with the Organized Crime division of the FBI.

IIRC, Chris did business with them, not Tony. And it wasn't the business partners that he turned in, but their acquaintances that he saw hanging around. I know he wasn't doing business with them directly.

Even though Harris wasn't with Crimes, he still works for the FBI and can certainly go back that route in the future.

Well, finally saw the series finale tonight. I'm leaning towards brilliant at the moment, but I can't say I was completely satisfied by the ending episode. I would've liked to see about a half hour added on to take a look at some of the recurring characters like Artie Bucco. I would've liked some more closure on the Melfi thing as well than what we got in the episode preceding it.
