just finished it

I'm so mad that they didn't continue the series, what a joke!

The pain doesn't go away. What makes it worse is reading/listening to interviews with Weisman and getting an idea of how he would have proceeded with the show had it continued.

favorite episode was definitely episode 23, Gangland. The mix of classical music with all the chaos ensuing was awesome.

And my favorite moments? Probably anything with Doc Ock, they did an awesome job with him. Probably my new favorite iteration of the character.

 Gangland is epic. One of the only times I've ever given something a 10/10.

I personally love Ock in this show. He's everything that I know and love about the character from the comics wrapped up in a sweet little package. This iteration of him is 2nd only to the 616 Ock, imo.

I give TSSM an A and USM maybe a C or a D. I would only give something an F if it really has no value whatsoever.

I'd give USM an F+

Survival of the Fittest might be a humble start compared to what the series offer starting with episode 3, but it and the second episode are loads of fun.
The quips are funny, even the juvenile name Spider-Man calls Electro with.

Max: "I'm, what did you call me?"
Spider-Man: "Lightning Butt?"
Max: "No, ELECTRO."

The delivery of that quip comes up in a charming way.

wow, THAT high?.... you sure give it too much credit... :o

USM on the whole is a horrible show. I've found myself having to force my way through many of the episodes and even needing to take a break after attempting to watch more than one episode at a time. However, there are a couple of decent episodes and even a few good moments sprinkled in every now and again. Not enough to give the show a passing grade but enough to make it a higher grade of F. Thus, the F+.

I love how in that episode, Peter assumes Electro is just some thug or robber and follows him and essentially attacks him. Later he realizes it was actually Max and the next time they meet, in Connors' lab, Peter attempts to help him. He only 'attacks' Electro again when he threatens the safety of both Connors and family and Pete's friends.

I am really sad that we never got to see Roderick Kingsley turn into the Hobgoblin. Between him and Norman Osborn, I suspect we were going to get a really cool rivalry between the two.

I believe Weisman said Hobgoblin and The Scorpion were planned for season 3.

It's hard to watch TSSM again because I keep thinking about "what could have been." :(

I would really love it if they ever made an animated movie in the spirit of TSSM. Bring back the voice actors and continue some of the story that was cut off at the end of S2.

That's correct. Weisman stated "Big plans for Hobgoblin.BIG." He also stated the Scorpion would have been introduced as well as Hydro-Man and Carnage.

He also hinted at Belladonna. Probably would have shown up before Hobgoblin.

Two of my favorite Spidey villains, not used as planned. :csad:
At least we had the greatest version of Green Goblin, and we had Mysterio.

He also hinted at Belladonna. Probably would have shown up before Hobgoblin.
As a bigger fan of Stern's run on Spectacular than his run of Amazing, I love the train of thoughts Weisman had.

It's reading stuff like this that makes the show's cancellation more saddening. To think how well they were adapting the Spider-Man mythos already with the first two seasons and the hearing the future plans and imagining how things could have gone.

I don't know if you've heard about it, but there's this podcast, "Spectacular Radio" that is going through the show episode by episode in two sections. One is a fan review and discussion, and the section is with Greg Weisman, talking in depth about every episode. Spectacular Radio has also had interviews with Vic Cook, Sean Galloway, and Vanessa Marshall.

Yeah I've actually listened to that podcast since it first started, as I follow the Crawlspace podcast as well. Both good shows

This show was great so was the 94 series Ultimate Spider-Man is a toy commercial

Technically, so was the 94 show. It just had the virtue of being more dense, grand and ambitious than any Spidey show before it.

Do you guys think it is a coincident that Marvel and Sony deal happened at the same time Greg Weisman got pulled from Star Wars Rebels?
