With all this action going on (the wedding, Doom's return, the Surfer, Galactus, and everything else), can they conceivably do this movie under 2 hours or is 2 hours a must. If history shows, X-men 2 and Spiderman 2 were both longer movies, so hopefully F4 ROTSS will follow as well...what do you think?

I hope it;s at least 2 hours. but then again, knowing Fox, it's gonna be an hour and 30 mins. :(

When was the last one timed at?

I agree, But I am satisfied with what I got!

This one might make 2hrs. There's alot of exposition to go over with the Surfer.

Well you know I will put my 2 cents in here. I was all over Fox like a cheep suit for the editing butchering job they did on the 1st one. This one however will have more action, faster paced, and amped up. There will be no incentive for them to chop this one up like the last one. 1st one was excluding trailers, and credits 1 hour 38 minutes. This movie needs 2 to 2 and a half hours. An extra 22 to 52 minutes of screen time. 22 minutes is a lot of screen time. Oh and by the way, POTC 2 ended with $ 1,064,467,331. 6th alltime domestic, 3rd alltime WW. SR, $ 391,081,192 WW. X-Men 2 was 30 minutes longer then X-Men. Both Fox products.

Fox will cut it to 2 hours tops, I have a lot of faith in Story but Fox has to show me some sign that they are aiming for epic movie as opposed to get in and get the money as they did with X3 and the shortness of that movie.

I think that Xmen surprised them and as a result they may be rethinking the longevity and potential of their comic book movies despite the performance of Electra and to a lesser extent Daredevil.

Xmen showed that these movies don't necessarily take the usual burnout cycle with the movie going public and they may be thinking that there is a huge appetite for the superhero movie if it is done right and that there are a lot of really good stories to mine. On top of that they have a built in focus group for these characters, we the comic book buying public. We are passionate about our characters and good or bad we are a resource that a lot of other movie genres could only dream of. Heck they have to be aware of what Spiderman is doing Box Office wise.

Somewhere smarter people than us must be seeing that this is a real opportunity for Movie Studios, lets hope that someone at Fox is really smart and I think they are a lot of smart people there. It is clear that they are checking the hype, and that is Huge people.

It has to be atleast 2 hours, there is way too much story to tell to try and jam it lal in to a hour and half movie

Knowing FOX, it will not exceed 2hrs.

I bet it will be 2hrs. or longer, just look at X-Men United, which had over two hours than the first movie. So trust me Fox won't let us down. This will be one of the best movies of 2006 next to SM3, POTC2, Shrek the Third, Transformers, and HP5

Why is it that with every new Fox film someone says "Fox won't let us down?" Yet, every single time Fox does let us down in regard to running time. A few examples: Daredevil, Fantastic Four, X3, Kingdom of Heaven and now Eragon is added to that list. If FF2 is over 105 minutes I will be shocked.

Exactly, this movie will likely be not much longer than the 1st one, even though it needs to be a lot longer by the sound of it. You just know Fox will cut out most of the character moments and just leave the action in.

Yeah, considering Fox's track record, this will be very similar to the first film. Now, I enjoyed the first film but recognize that it could have been alot better, especially if it wasn't so short. Now if by some miracle, Fox pulls an X2 and allows this film to have a 2 hour plus running time, then that would be great. At the moment though I don't anticipate that happening.

I doubt it, i dont think they will ever learn to be honest, look at Eragon for a prime example. The book is 730 pages long, yet the movie is about 100 mins, WTF are they playing at!

/agree.

I hope for at least TWO hours, please Fox please!

Come on Fox its worth it for the extra 30 more minutes.

The characters of the film deserve it and well, DOOM deserves to be served right this time IMO.

TWO hours isnt that long, especially as it seems you guys are delivering alot of different things this time around.

By the sounds of it this movie need AT LEAST an over two hour run-time, i just doubt we'll get that with Fox unfortunately.
