:oldrazz:

I caught up on the news. I'm torn…. there's a part of me that thinks this could be the best rated superhero movie of the year precisely because it is so anti-superhero sounding that the critics may fawn all over it.

And then the other part of me thinks it sounds like fresh vomit being poured directly into my eyeballs.

There is The Worst, and then there is The Actual Worst. I feel like this movie is the latter.

I also feel like this could be an epic joke to somehow "promote" the movie.

I don't know if turning 99% of the fan base off of a film before any footage is actually shown is a smart idea though…?

I just watched the interview with Kebbel and it seems eve he knows how crappy it will be. "I hope this doesn't upset anyone" "The voice was the only thing I could influence, I only had control over the voice". etc

Wow.

Oh…

Are Fox AND Sony in competition for "Worst Superhero Movie News Ever?" today????

I don't think there's ever been this many people against a comic book movie being made

But from what we've heard, it's justified.

I bet fox is like "wait till everyone sees footage from the movie, they'll shut up real fast!"

Fox are probably thinking "Any publicity is good publicity". Morons

I think the best Doctor Doom we ever had was in The Incredibles, because Syndrome is a pretty good imitator of Doom, minus the armor and hoodie. Syndrome hates Mr. Incredible like Dr. Doom hates Mr. Fantastic, and Syndrome used his intellect to defeat the superheroes since he has no superpowers of his own. Syndrome is even vain like Doom. It looks like until F4 goes back to Marvel, Syndrome will be the best substitute.

I don't know even know if I should tell my dad this news. He is a big fan of Doom and didn't like how he was represented the last two times.

He's 55 years old...this news could give him a heart attack....I'll just tell him it was cancelled instead.

The only joke here is the movie itself. Kebbell gave almost the exact same quotes to IGN as in the Collider interview. He recounts having read the FF and watched the cartoons as a kid. One would hope that someone claiming to be a fan wouldn't have signed on for such a bull**** version, but the dollar/pound is the overriding factor. Not to sound totally vindictive, but part of me hopes that everyone involved in this fiasco suffers some career consequences afterwards.

This a shame, I was willing to give this movie the benefit of the doubt before, when we had less news about it, but I turned against the 2005 film when I heard what they were doing with Doom in that film and this sounds worse.

I don't see why it is so hard to adapt the comic book Doom to the Silver Screen. Fox successfully adapted Magneto, why is Doom such a stumbling block for them?

Why didn't they do this with one of the kinda lame FF villains? If they made Wizard into a corporate tycoon or an internet hacker, no one would care.

^^lol:D
Okay… so, what's the feeling on this new Blogster Von Doom?

Are we Yay? Nay? Or WTFBBQ?!

Your avvy somes up my reaction to this latest news.:(

Based on what we know so far, it seems like they are altering things we know and love from the FF just for the sake of it.I fully understand and appreciate that Trank and co. want to make an original superhero tale but then don't call it Fantastic Four. Call it something else!

It makes sense now why the Doom "costume" looks like it is made out of trash bags, it's obviously Domashev's hasty attempt at creating a badass cosplay.

AND WHY WON"T THEY ALREADY! It is absolutely ridiculous at this point. Ugh.

just read Toby Kebbell interview. HAHAHAHAHA, this is unbelievably bad.

An “anti-social programmer” and posts under the online handle “Doom.”

further proof this movie will be complete s**t! :down

seriously, how the hell did this abomination manage to get made? just WTF was Trank, the writers, and head honchos at Fox thinking?

Please kill this shame with fire(wall).

They certainly won't be killing anything with fire in this movie. Johnny's containment suit (as described by MJB) will prevent that. The FF don't have powers, they have "disabilities". :cmad:

He has said the same on IGN so I guess we can give up the small hope that he was trolling, and he really will be an online Troll in Chronicle 2 (and an Orc in Warcraft).

Seriously, F Fox. F 'em hard. I'd like to do something more, but I already don't watch their crappy movies and don't support their business practices by not supporting them with my money.

Looks like I just have to accept the fact that I'll never see a real Fantastic Four or X-Men film. :csad:
