well it's a comic book movie of course. but to answer your question with a good answer, spidey can still use his arms to pull Ock even without leverage and by the way, it's a comic book film so anything can happen.^^Only one problem. This scene is physically impossibe. How can Spidey pull Ock out of the window when he has absolutely NO leverage? He COULD use the momentum he was given when he was thrown, except Ock hasn't thrown him yet, his tentacles are still around him. Another cringe-worthy scene, like the one in SM1 where Spidey falls AFTER MJ and still catches up to her in mid-air...

Doc Ock said:These are superhero movies. The laws of physics and realism in general are not alway a requirement. You're criticizing things that characters doing with impossible powers.
I suggest you avoid SM-3 if stuff like this makes you cringe in your seat. We have a guy made entirely out of sand in that, and yet he's still alive. Now, I'm no medical expert, but I'm pretty sure that is impossible, too![]()
Superman can fly, period. Spider-man cannot. Which is exactly what he's doing when he's pulling Ock with no leverage whatsoever.
Come on, not that argument again. Yes, in every superhero movie there are things you have to take for granted. But the story has to work within the limits it has set. Superman can fly, period. Spider-man cannot. Which is exactly what he's doing when he's pulling Ock with no leverage whatsoever.
I know Sandman couldn't exist, but I accept the fact he can turn his body to sand. If at one point he turns his body to water, I'll cringe, yeah.

I mean it's easy to pull Ock out the window if your attached to him by holding two webs, he has super strength you know so he can defenitley pull.Come on, not that argument again. Doc Ock said:Exactly where is he flying?? He's being tossed out the window by two of Ock's tentacles, and he snags Ock with his webs as he's going out.
Simple as that.
I saw that the Spidey 2.1 is finaly coming out after 3 years of talk. 8 additional minutes not bad at all.
But I also saw on the ad that it will have a sneak peak at Spidey 3, now usually these things are lame when they do this. But I'm wondering maybe we will get a good solid 20 minute behind the scenes of Spidey 3. What do you guys think it will be?
As I said before, if he was tossed outside the window, it'd be ok, since he could use the momentum of the throw to pull Ock with him (although he doesn't seem to have much momentum, it looks more like Ock is just pushing him out, not throwing). But Ock is still holding him. It's like trying to push a car when you're inside it. It can't be done, you need to brace yourself at some place outside of it.
Doc Ock said:To me, it looks like Ock is throwing/pushing Spidey out the window at a pretty fast rate, and Spidey snags Ock with his webbing, and uses the speed of the throw, and his super strength, to take Ock with him.
Nothing unbelievable about that.

You're right, what you described is believable. It just doesn't seem like he's throwing him fast enough, it looks more like he's just letting him fall outside the window, and he's still holding him in his tentacles.
We should also consider that Ock is probably much heavier than Spidey, with his tentacles and all, but let's not go there.![]()
Doc Ock said:I'm pretty sure a trolley full of children, or a building wall, or a speeding train are all heavier than Spidey, too. But he has the strength to hold/stop them.
Doc Ock said:You're forgetting that animated gif is a slowed down version of the actual clip. In normal format, I'm sure it will look much faster.
Judging from the look of the new footage included in this spider-man 2.1 special edition, I think it should definitly put those poeple who were afraid that it would be crappy edited in (like in X-Men 1.5) to rest! This edition and the new footage has obviously been handled and worked on to the exstreme! It's beautiful!

why on EARTH did they ever remove those action sequences included in the spidey 2.1 from the theatrical cut!!!?... I mean, every SINGLE ACTION IMAGE looks just as breathtaking as the rest in spider-man 2, if not more!!! It's absolutely nuts! Can't wait to see this edition!
