Ben Grimm: No pants? No thing? What a revoltin' development!![]()
Stark is hindering the financial troubles aspect of the character. Hopefully if Peter breaks free from him, he's not in the sequelAs I said before, Peter being an every man comes from all the other aspects of his life: his financial difficulties, his relationship troubles, his guilty conscience, etc. etc.
Him being something of a genius (although he's not the smartest guy in the MU) doesn't detract from that, IMO. The relatability people share with Peter Parker comes from the things mentioned above and also the sense of escapism when he's Spider-Man because he becomes someone else.
If making his own Webshooters somehow goes against his everyman image then so does having Tony Stark: a billionaire playboy as his benefactor.

I thought you meant those comics were based on a movie.

Wasn't asm2 Spider-Man supposed to have beats in his suit or something? I remember hearing that he listened to music while he swung. It was an early concept
His web-shooters would've had a built in MP3/iPod thingy, I think. They scrapped it because..Sony.

It could've been a Sony Walkman. He could listen to an awesome mix tape.

It's not about having fun, it's about how that aspect seems to be highlighted over everything else. I just wonder why people like Carroll think a 15 year-old has to act this way when you can't put them all in the same box. Peter himself was matured by his Uncle's death... Why couldn't we get this Spider-Man?I don't think the headphones are that big a deal. When has Spider-Man not wanted to have fun?
Could've had a Zune, that's what all the people on Earth are listening to now.![]()
“If you’re 15 and you get Spider-Man’s powers, you don’t go straight down to the power of responsibility. You don’t go straight down the heavy-is-the-head type thing. This would be fun. This would be amazing. This would be better than going home to ride a dirt bike.”
