Though I don't like where the movies going, I'm a huge Spirit fan and a merchandise ****e so I'll probably buy these.

His Chucks are all black? Oh crud, I bought red ones after watching Sin City...

Even as a merchandise sucker, I'm not at all sure what someone could do with the stupid Plaster of Paris figure, besides use it as a dashboard hula, but some of them look cool.

I like your wording, manbat... MORE than 19 points... does that mean 20 or 45? :oldrazz: Companies say that all the times, and it's great wording on their part.

I'm hoping for the super rare variant Spirit figure, where he's wearing blue. :yay:

Yes... it's your worst nightmare!!! x 2!!! :wow:

Spirit fans still actually would enjoy a figure that looks like the Spirit! :wow:

And even worse...

People still have opinions that are different from yours!!!!!

OH NOES!!!! :wow:

Hey, the DrawerofDeadPeople is being consistent and true to himself and to the 'spirit' of Eisner's work. I commend him for it.

Nothing to purchase here...

And what is the deal with the cats?!?!?!?!?

Oh, you must have thought this was actually Will Eisner's Spirit. :)

...No Scar Jo...?

...And The Spirit ones aren't that bad...

...No Scar Jo...?

Not sure I'm getting the reference...

...And The Spirit ones aren't that bad...

If you were looking for figures based on Will Eisner's Spirit you're not going to find them here. So actually, they are bad to an extent. Or at least uninteresting.

What do you mean about the cats, Mego? Are you kidding?!?!?! :wow:

They are a Frank Miller 'improvement' to Eisner's worthless interpretation of the Spirit, and are therefore a brilliant, necessary addition to the world of the Spirit.

It's vital they are a part of the merchandising aspects of this film, since they are Miller's idea.

If they were Eisner's creation, we wouldn't have to worry... they wouldn't be in the film... let alone in the merchandising.

Rogue Trooper told me, himself... all of the changes are for the sake of making audiences actually like Einser's crappy story.

If Jesu... I mean Miller... thinks cats vastly improve Eisner's garbage... then, believe Rogue Trooper - cats are a VITAL addition.

I hope they sell the cats seperately, so I can buy multiple figures.

Nice dolls! The Sand Saref one actually looks better than her, uhm, human counterpart

Well, they're nice Miller toys.

Looking at them your city won't scream "Eisner", now will it?

Miller to Eisner: "Your characters aren't good enough. Let's twist them a little into my world".

I know... nothing's as laughable as Eisner's designs, ideas, and stories.

Thank God for Frank Miller.

At least you've finally stopped pretending you're Eisner fans. The 'funny' looking figure actually looks like Eisner's work, while the 'really great' Miller one doesn't.

Just surprised you were willing to let go of Miller's **** long enough to type this.

(**** can be a LOT of things. Take your pick... but since you're an avid Miller fan, I'm sure your mind will automatically go to a dirty word, since it requires a very limited vocabulary to read Miller. :oldrazz: )

The REAL problem in all the discussions is Miller's unwillingness to admit he doesn't care about Eisner's views for this movie, and that he simply took some of the visuals and some of the principles and made his stuff out of it.

That would make things a lot easier and much more real. "That's my very personal take on the characters that once appeared in stories invented by Will Eisner".
