Which book is this?

I mean it's a fantastic book so far. I love the characters but damn I'm just frustrated with the backstory of Derry. The part with the kids is awesome, their reaction to the news is awesome, but right now it feels like it's almost a different novel.

I really need to catch up on my reading. I haven't read anything since early-mid January.
It took until the end of February but I finally got around to finishing off Crouch End.

As it turns out this was published originally in 1980 under the "New Tales of the Cthulhu Mythos" anthology. Unsurprising given the bizarre nature of the story and the fact Cthulhu and company are mentioned directly in it at one point.

Next up, The House on Maple Street. If I can get back into the reading habit that is. :oldrazz:

Summary of Bad Little Kid

Here is a summary of the upcoming Böser Kleiner Junge/Sale Gosse.

George Hallas is in prison. In one week, he is to be executed. He has remained silent for a long time, but now he opens up to his public defender, Leonard Bradley. He tells him how his dreadful deed came to pass. For Bradley, the confession will eventuelly have spooky consequences

The Wizard and The Glass is starting off really slow. Is this the weak book of the series?

I had a hard time getting into it at first. I wouldn't call it the weakest though as it's quite good once you get going.

I'm really getting frustrated with It. I'm listening to the audiobook and it seems like he's be going on for ours about a backstory that seems like it doesn't really matter. The one I'm referring to is the story that Mike's dad told. The Dick Hallorann cameo was pretty awesome. I just feel like the story would be so much better if he had left some of this stuff out. It feels so distracting from the story.

I'm currently reading It right now as well and I kind of felt the same way about the story Mike's dad had been telling. It's interesting back story and helps put things in perspective but it just drug on for way too long. However, once I got past that it's like a freakin' freight train to me.

So King is fluent in French and German?

That cover for Revival reminds me of a cover for a Dean Koontz novel for some reason

Check out this book from Centiped Press about Salem's Lot. Looks very intresting if you ask me. More info here.

Thanks to Herbert West

I pre-ordered Mr. Mercedes. I'm looking forward to that one. I'll probably buy Revival the day it's out but I'm not as excited for that one as Mr. Mercedes.

Just finished Wizard and Glass. Really enjoyed the last 200 pages of the story. I believe I'm going to read The Wind Through the Keyhole before I jump into the Wolves of Calla.

You will love Wind Through The Keyhole... and it should be read before Wolves...

You will love Wind Through The Keyhole... and it should be read before Wolves...

It does somewhat follow up on something dropped in The Waste Lands and a character mentioned in Wizard and Glass, albeit secondarily. I hope Marvel adapts all seven of the main novels into comic format.

I enjoyed the plant people, dragon, and especially Maerlyn.
