I'd give it a looksee, definitly. He should be careful though; it could come off as a cheasy sequel. Maybe they could tie in the voices of the Hotel from the first book to the Crimson King since he was looking for psychics to fill up Algul Siento.

Just got The Stand. Looks intimidating but I'm gonna do it.

I'm just over halfway through The Dome and it's still wonderful. :D

689. :p Out of 1074, yee haw.

I've been getting bad headaches lately. I can't read too much at a time.

I don't have a lot of time to read so I am happy for the long weekend. Maybe you should have your eyes checked. :)

It took a Herculean effort, but I finallly finsihed the dang thing. Don't know as I buy the why of the Dome, but that's oaky. The book is about how the folks dealt with it and it was consistantly wonderful throughout. :D

Does it have to do with
God?

I didn't think so.. I wonder if it's something to do
with the Meth Labs....

T'wasn't that either. Maybe you should just keep reading. :p

I need to get a new prescription for contacts/glasses first. My eyes ache because I can't see far away and when I get headaches I can't read :P

My dad is reading Under the Dome right now and he loves it. Can't wait to borrow it from him once he's done with it.

The Dark Tower 8:

The moderator at S.K. message board gave details on the new D.T. book:
"Stephen has given me permission to pass along that he has an idea for a new Dark Tower book, the working title of which will be THE WIND THROUGH THE KEYHOLE. He has not yet started this book and anticipates that it will be a minimum of eight months before he is able to begin writing it."

I hope you don't plan on getting much done for a while while you read it. I was carrying that book with me everywhere. It was really good.

Kewl. :D

I'm still on the fourth book, I stopped in the middle.

Maybe its a third Jack Sawyer novel, as it seems like he has some strong ties to the Dark Tower mythos. Possibly its events that occurred off-screen during the seventh book in the main series.

I'll be happy to read it, whatever it is. :p

Same here; it'll be nice to be back in Mid-World with Steve as our guide. :)

I'm behind on the prequel comics, but the consensus seems to be that Furth has fumbled the ball with some aspects of the mythos.

I wouldn't say fumbling as the comic is wonderful. I am also not so sure it's a prequel so much as it goes in chronological order where the books go back and forth in time. Furth made some small changes that King approved of, like the manner in which Roland kills his mother. It didn't change the outcome, only the method. Her small tweaks have been like that, nothing drastic and nothing that King didn't give his apporoval of. :)

I need to start reading the comics soon, I haven't even gotten to the first mini series yet.

I read Cell last year and was pretty underwhelmed. Then I read Duma Key, and wow, that one was really damned good. Not The Stand good, but close.

I'm almost halfway through Bag of Bones right now (and I'm hoping it picks up the pace a bit). After that, my unread King list looks like:

Insomnia
Danse Macabre
The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon
On Writing
Dreamcatcher (the movie might have ruined this one for me, dunno)
From a Buick 8
Lisey's Story
Blaze
Just after Sunset
Under the Dome

So I'll have to decide on one of those soon. I'd like to wait until Under the Dome is in paperback but if I keep hearing how good it is I might not put it off. :yay:

I really enjoyed Insomnia. Its the only book where King outlined things before he actually wrote it. In On Writing, I believe he said it was his least favorite. Still, I suggest you tackle that one first.

I hope it hs something to do with those guys from Eye of the Dragon. They were supposed to confront the Crimson King, but they haven't as yet...
