The super-duper JUGGERNAUT thread.

Juggs magic has nothing to do with physics (hence why even he has punched through dimensions) so even then I doubt it
I know, I was just using the physics thing as an example of how the Hulk can do random things when he's really angry. He's always had that vague, quasi-mystical aspect to him too, with his ability to see ghosts and stuff, so who knows? Maybe he could start punching through magic if he got angry enough. I wouldn't like to see it happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if some writer did make it happen one day.

Pretty much what corpy said.

Question do we think juggs is capable of getting hulk that angry? I ask this because it is quite possible to knock out the hulk, will he have enough time to get angry enough that whomevers writing him turns silly?
I doubt he would have the time to get angry enough. That's why I said he'd lose more often than not.

You guys are acting like Hulk is so weak when hes not angry. I'm sure he can withstand at least a few punches to get angry.

When he said it in X3 I almost shat myself with laughter. :D

He's not weak, but the classic Juggernaut is invincible. No matter what the Hulk does, if he can't get by Jugs' magic somehow, Jugs won't get hurt by his punches. Period. With that in mind, I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that the Hulk would weather Jugs' punches for a while but eventually go down because Jugs is as strong as he is and doesn't have to weather anything.

so that has to be the most quoted line from the movie. the huge debate is . was it a chappelle rick james rip off. or was it from the dubbed over cartoon episode.... its gotta be from one or the other. no way it can be that random taht two people would think of saying the same exact thing regarding a random subject such as the juggernaut.

andyes i agree that is the lamest picture of juggernaut ever.

well ratner had a link to the youtube video on his site.

I thought the "I'm the Juggernaut, B*TCH!" was brilliance. Such a great nod to geeks like us.

As for me, I like him as a hero. I'm one of the few people who actually liked Chuck's run, and I thought he did great things with Cain Marko.

Well I ersonally think the Hulk vs Juggernaught is pretty inconclusive which is how most of their battles went. The Hulk was created to be physically the strongest Marvel character.....and I am not saying he is here.......the Juggernaught is completely invincible. When Hulk was War (and not Death as it was stated above) he overwhelmed the Juggernaught, and when Juggernaught ws in disguise, he cloberred the Professor. I think head on in the comics they are pretty even.

I do not quite agree with Corp's belief that Juggs would take it more often then not because against Savage Hulk, in most cases, his initial state of anger was enough to fight Juggs and throw him (like when he threw him using his helmet). Of course, we never saw them fight to the end where the Hulk gets killed...and his rage level should be enough to sustain him. Of course how long would it take him to defeat the Juggernaught would largely depend.........on which comic book this was and who was the writer. A fight between the 2 can really go either way imho just like a flip of the coin.

That's an impressive picture but he's got to turn his whole torso just to see anywhere but straight ahead. Unless there's a seam under the helmet that we can't see. :venom:

That picture in the first post is ULTIMATE Juggernaut. His unstoppability comes from his mutant genes. But in Ult X-Men Annual 1 (which that picture is from), Gambit throws a charged-up magic Gem of Cyttorak at him, thinking that it'll blow him up, but instead it becomes a part of him and makes him bigger and much more powerful than ever before. So I figure Ult Juggernaut is now more powerful and unstoppable than 616 Juggs, since the source of his strenght is both genetic and magical in nature.

Oh, btw, if you're wondering, Ult Juggs is NOT dead. Gambit sacrificed himself, by making a building in construction fall on the both of them, but they never found Juggs' body. Guess Gambit died for nothing (although he probably slowed down Juggs long enough to allow Rogue to run away).

Congratulations on finding the worst Juggernaut pic ever.

Everything's so f***ing negative with you. And I happen to think that pic owns.

One could always rationalize Hulk's ability to punch through time and such by saying that it's due to some strange phenomenon of quantum physics, which would make sense since he's powered by gamma radiation.

By comic book standards it makes sense to begin with. By any other standard, not so much. How does gamma radiation equate to punching through an abstract concept?

Also, the pic sucks because it's Ultimate Juggernaut. The character's design is lame and in no way compares to the awesomeness of the 616 Juggernaut. You're probably right about his being more powerful than the 616 Jugs, but at this point 616 Jugs has been watered down so much that Aunt May could probably give him a couple of good rounds.

Ever heard of "quantum tunnelling"? It's a new theory essentially stating that a human being could turn into a horse or a chair at any time for no apparent reason simply because NOTHING is "impossible", but simply "mathematically improbable". If it's possible for Hulk to exist, then it's possible for him to punch through time and space when he gets super-pissed off. And have you ever considered the idea that "magic" isn't some irrational, mystical force, but rather a misunderstood phenomenon of quantum physics? "Hyperspatial manipulation", perhaps?

I happen to like the look of Ultimate Juggernaut. But everyone's entitled to his or her own opinion. ;)

Hmm going on that theory he doesn't actually need to be super pissed to punch through time and space.

That theory pretty much explains the Scarlet Witch's powers as well.

But getting super-pissed off probably increases the mathematical probability of quantum tunnelling occurring, due to intense gamma radiation activity.
