I'm so fascinated by the people who think the Venom movies were good but Morbius was bad when they're both operating on the same level of quality.

I don’t think it’s about either being good, but Venom (the character, not the film) is overflowing with personality and hilarious. All he has to do is say “Eddie” in that voice and I’m already on the floor.

I mean, the Venom movies aren't necessarily good. But they are fun. Which is what Morbius is lacking. It takes itself too seriously. If it had embraced a bit more campier tone, which it briefly does with the Matt Smith dance and the bat kamehameha, then it would be more fun watching. Which is why I am somewhat hopeful for Kraven being fun, if not necessarily good.

I mean, I saw what their attempt at the 'one shot fight" was in the "rated M" trailer, and it was hilariously bad compared to anything in Daredevil. Just another few reasons why I am worried about Daredevil.

I’m willing to bet that Echo will pleasantly surprise all of us. There is NO WAY you can have Vincent D’Onofrio and Charlie Cox and fumble the dramatic bag.

Don't rewatch Clownpin in Hawkeye.

That said they managed to adapt Murdock really well for a tongue-in-cheek show like She-Hulk. Also the trailer suggested we might be getting at least a taste of the old Kingpin and was well made. I'll continue to stick my head in the sand and base my excitement on that at least.

Ice, even in Hawkeye, Fisk was still ruthless. He literally tossed around and beat up a girl that’s less than half his size.

He’s still a supervillain lol.

I almost at this point dont even want them to do Daredevil at all anymore, just leave him alone. Or, do it without Cox and D’Onofrio. I really dont want to see their legacies tainted.

I shudder to think what was so horrible about the show they were filming that theyre scrapping the whole thing.

It definitely sounded like the pacing was terrible.

But then again, no Karen and Foggy already has it as a terrible Daredevil show in my view.

Same. Im naively hoping that the outrage online of Foggy and Karen’s leaked fate will sway Feige’s mind and get them back in the show now.

Ha! Unfortunately I woke up in time for that awful ass post credit scene. Hope Keaton atleast got a good pay day.

And I know we all have mixed emotions about the Disney produced Daredevil, but dammit I just want them to revive my girl one good time:



Give Elektra a better version of the Hand and a story with Wolverine and I’ll be happy.

One issue that has me really worried about Born Again is that despite the creative overhaul from writers and directors, they’re still going to be using certain scenes and episodes from before the strike and the previous writers/directors.

Just hope there can be a consistency in tone/overall storyline unlike Justice League.

IF this is true (and big if) then it just further perplexes me why all the smoke and mirrors on if this Daredevil and Kingpin are the same as the netflix version. Just make it canon and call it a day. Idk what theyre so afraid of. Why WOULDNT you want to be canonically linked to arguably Marvel’s most acclaimed tv series ever?

Seems like this could be true based on the newest tv spot showing what looks like someone’s hand with a hammer at the very end.

It's because Venom stars Tom Hardy doing what he does, and Morbius... doesn't.

The gap in basic competence between Morbius and at least Let There Be Carnage (itself not any kind of great movie) is huge and, also, the Venom movies are fundamentally about an incredibly likeable duo of characters played by one of the best actors in the world doing weird shtick. The movie is just a showcase for Tom Hardy, everything else is secondary.
