The Superhero Cinematic Civil War - Part 60

Sony wants to make a maximum of money for Sony and they can’t do that with Avengers, it’s not their baby. There’s always been tension between Disney and Sony - their movie deal almost expired years ago - so them arguing over who gets to use these legacy actors and characters wouldn’t be much of a surprise.

When he refused to give the money back:

As a massive Raimi/Tobey Spidey fanboy, I obviously want to see him again and andrew. But I think it makes more sense for it to be in Secret Wars than the next Holland film.

I honestly understand why Sony wants them back in a Holland SM-4, but why wouldn’t they let Marvel do one more solo film for both guys? Then put them in Secret Wars.

NWH showed that fans still LOVE Maguire and Garfield and would happily see them in a solo film to wrap up their storylines. Sony would make big bank with those (3 high grossing Spidey movies) rather than NWH part 2.

I would have thought they'd go with a bigger name but he's at least familiar to a lot of people from Maverick.
I think some big names would be a little hesitant on jumping into lesser known Marvel roles right now while the situation remains unpredictable, especially in the recurring hero roles. I’m sure Pullman would be fine for Sentry.

If Donnelly gets it then that’d be funny considering she already has experience playing the role already with the animated Tommorow-Verse movies.

Damn, another two actors being considered for the new DCU whose work I'm completely unfamiliar with...

Milly and Donnelly join David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan for me as actors I'm never seen in anything, apart from online clips of Marvelous Mrs. Maisel I watched for 'research' awhile back...

This is actually a pretty exciting situation for me to be in as a fan. I'll be going into both Superman: Legacy and Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow with minimal exposure to any of the lead actors. The experience will be similar to what audiences in 1978 must have experienced with Christopher Reeve being a virtual unknown and Margot Kidder being a relative unknown in Superman: The Movie.

I kinda like this. I was thinking about catching up on the actors' work before the movies hit but now I'm considering going in with as little knowledge of the leads as possible. But of course I'll still bone up on the animated shows and iconic comic storylines that many of you have suggested as essential reading while I embark upon my Superman Education Odyssey

Get on House of the Dragon right now!

Actually, wait….have you even seen Game of Thrones? :funny:

Madame Web marketing so far:

- One trailer

- Sydney Sweeney on the new episode of Hot Ones

- Dakota Johnson hosting SNL this week

It's still better than the Argylle marketing campaign with its bombarding us with that same trailer over and over and over again. :o

What more could you possibly want? We’ve been utterly spoilt on this one.
