On the topic of animation. What’re y’alls bets on how Spider-man Freshman Year will turn out? I think thats coming this Fall.

I think that whether the series itself is good or bad, no matter what it'll probably be stuck in the shadow of the Spider-Verse movies and I also don't know how casual audiences are going to feel about an MCU Spider-Man series centered around Peter Parker that isn't the Tom Holland version.

If I were a betting man, I'd be more inclined to predict Dafne Keen will be the main MCU Wolverine and Jackman will be the next RDJ, popping up in lots of different movies to goose audience interest and being the biggest character in the Avengers movies, in between mentoring Keen in the X-men films.

That seems like a much better idea than recasting since Jackman gets more and more Logany looking every year. Keen gives you a Wolverine with comic accurate height for the first time. And If Harrison Ford can suit up at 82 the MCU should be able to squeeze at least a decade or two more out of Hugh.

The only thing that would upset me more than announcing more Jackman Wolverine movies is Sony announcing Spiderman 4 is another Maguire/Garfield/Holland team up. I get it, money is money but lets leave well enough alone

Going to take a little breather from Caped Crusader because I'm doing a slightly unhinged double feature tomorrow. Inside Out 2 and Longlegs, suck it, Barbenheimer.

Also a bit bummed out Ed Brubaker isn’t involved with Caped Crusader S2, which I just found out.

Well that just killed all my excitement.

Truth be told: Caped Crusader was a mixed bag for me.

I loved the Gotham that was created for that show, loved the strong, diverse, female characters in that universe, but I COULD NOT root for Batman.

There was a disconnect for me somewhere. They made him almost sociopathic.

Need something to measure the difference in your brain activity during this double feature.

Which one would you watch first? I’d have to get the horror one out the way first and hope the lighter film brings me peace while I try to recover. If you go the other way that interval is your only safe time left.

All things considered, that is probably the best S i've seen in live action.

Corenswet's suit is perfect, just wish it had an S like that to pop.

Well done, a unique double bill I'm sure. I don't even watch horrors in the cinema these days, especially if alone - also don't watch them at night. Proper wimp here.
