The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: Quoth the Kraven, "Nevermore." - Part 61

Deborah is such a delight. I’m so glad she’s coming back as Karen.

Same here. I remember people s***talking her performance on Daredevil and The Punisher, saying she was “so annoying” (you know the thinly veiled misogynistic bull**** they say about every female character in a superhero property) and it used to piss me off. She was great on both shows and it was a boneheaded move by Marvel not to bring her back for this new show initially. I’m glad that they ultimately came to their senses but I really don’t understand what their logic was in only bringing back two characters from one of their best shows ever.

Speaking of Marvel TV, sometimes I wonder how that MCU New Warriors pilot looked and why it was never picked up to series.

Same with the Hellfire Club show that was supposed to be made a few years ago.

Up until very recently I had no idea that "Like A Prayer" was almost as old as I am. For some reason I thought it came out in the mid-'90s because I definitely remember it getting plenty of radio play when I was a kid.

The good old days before Covid and when Madonna actually was about something.

Omg they finally released the orchestral versions of “Like a Prayer” from D&W on Spotify.

It feels like home.
It'll probably really make a name for that artist, overheard by a Gen Zer. LOL.

ngl I was the only one who chuckled at this in the theater.

I was the only one who laughed at the part when Logan was chauffeuring the drunken bachelorette party in the limo and one of them flashed him. Not because it was funny but because when I saw it, there was a couple that brought their two very young kids to the movie and while they were sitting down next to me the mom asked the dad, "Is there nudity in this?" because of course Logan slicing people up is fine but heaven forbid their young children see a bare breast or butt. I was delighted to see that there was, in fact, nudity on top of all the carnage.

The Thunderbolts trailer finally leaked and it actually looks like a lot of fun. They're definitely borrowing The Suicide Squad playbook (they even have an elevator scene and a popular soundtrack) but I'm now actually looking forward to that more than the new Cap movie.

Having one movie coming out in 2024 and having somewhat of a break may pay big dividends down the road
It also helps the trailers and materials i have seen are encouraging

i wasn't terribly impressed with the Thunderbolts trailer. Dont get me wrong it looks fun but its got some of that forced cringe humor that kind of ruined Black widow for me. I think this could be a really cool espionage thriller if they get the tone right.

Sony pictures did Borderlands, right? How has Tom Rothman not been fired after all the failed Sony movies this year?

Because Anyone but You, Bad Boys 4, and It Ends with Us made bank.
