The Superhero Cinematic Civil War: The SUMC Was In The Amazon With My Mom Studying Spiders Right Before It Died - Part 61

We don't talk enough about Richie Rich, We're Back a Dinosaur Story, Little Giants, the 90s Dennis the Menace, Harriet the Spy, Problem Child 2, and Honey I Blew Up the Kid.
You poor kids who grew up in 90’s had terrible movies.
I’ve always said that the litmus test for whether you are Gen X or millennial is whether you think Hook is a classic or if you think it’s a steaming turd.

Somewhere been the two.....

Nowhere near his 80's output, but not as bad as many would have us believe. I am Gen X (born 1975).

FF : FS will absolutely blow Superman out of the water, box office wise and in terms of quality.

Superman is gonna sink, hard, fast and deep.
First of all, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen you posting on here. I hope that all is well.

But second, I have to say

The Snyderverse failed. It has its fans and that’s fine. But the majority of people didn’t like it. That’s why it ended. You’ve got to move on.

Hi everyone,

Am back after a long while, now for a long period of time.

Very tough couple of years 2022, 2023 and last year was about putting care plans for my Mum in place & building to the first few months of this year (new job, moving house) and dealing with loss / grief (my father's passing / my partner's father passing and a diagnosed brain tumour for her, all in the space of six months, in the latter part of 2023) and supporting my partner's health, in recovery.

So, apologies for being away for so long and missing an awful lot of discussion, no doubt, but very glad to be back.

Hope everyone well themselves and look forward to getting involved in all (non-Gunn DC) discussion

Heh BG,

Thanks Bud, been a few tough years (v long stories) but things easier / better thanks.

Regarding Gunn / Superman, have my reasons, none of it is for me I'm afraid.
I hate to hear about the rough patch, but I’m glad to hear that things are getting better/easier. Hope everything keeps improving.

As to your point about Gunn, I understand. Ironically that’s how I felt about Snyder. I was excited for MoS and then felt very disappointed. It just wasn’t for me.

But hey, different strokes for different folks I guess

The real litmus test of Gen X and Millennials is picking Peanuts or picking Hey Arnold.
This is why we are where we are as a society. I’m sandwiched between boomers and millennials. Between Trump generation and Andrew Tate generation.

If only we hadn’t lost Kurt Cobain.

Oh, really sorry to hear all the extremely tough news mate. It's great to have you back and I hope things get better for you and yours.

Don't be like that.

Especially when you were growing up and had a visual diet of The Electric Company and that god awful live action Spider-Man tv show that you love so much LOL. :sneeze:

Stop because they are both equally amazing and both make me emotional in various ways.

But to hell with Recess though. :o

They're both incredible but you can tell a Gen X'er apart if they have some salty things to say about the lovable football head.

Bruh when I tell you, I can literally laugh and cry EACH rewatch with Hey Arnold...

Truly one of the best animated shows ever made. Craig Bartlett doesn't get enough praise.

Why did you wake up and choose violence today? :weeping:

I agreed with everything you said until you spewed out this vile hatred.

LOL, you know what for you, I'll take that back.

I've never spent enough time with Recess for me to tell it to GTH, I'll watch it fully one day and then say that properly. :sneeze:
