I agree. Brave New World was more competent but there was no one scene in it that could dare to compete with this:

Punisher update: halfway thru season 2 and yeah i like this show. You just gotta know what youre getting here. Steven Lightfoot, the showrunner is really more concerned with explorint the psychological aspects of trauma from soldiers than anything else. But everyone in this show is acting their butts off and MAN do i miss the authentic New York cinematography and FEEL of all of these Netflix shows. It really helps ground these things in reality to a degree.

Funnily enough I just got done watching Venom 3 for a 2nd time. I enjoyed it even more upon a rewatch. The Vegas sequence is dumb but had several laugh out loud moments for me. But I really liked the touching scenes the movie had with Martin and his hippy family and then of course the ending. Really curious where they take the Venom character next.

Especially with Agony and Toxin still out there.

I'm not going to lie as blasphemous and crazy as this might sound to most people here I honestly I had a better time and got more enjoyment watching Venom 3 and Kraven: The Hunter than I did watching BNW which is something I never thought I would say a year ago.

Granted none of those movies were good either but atleast I knew what I was getting myself into with those Sony spinoffs. I really had higher expectations and hopes for BNW and it disappointed me big-time.

I can also atleast somewhat appreciate the dumb, entertaining, schlocky B movie quality of the former which BNW definitely didn't have IMO.

I was thinking of that very sequence when I typed it. I liked Eddie's interactions with family in general, but especially that moment and his interactions with the youngest kid.
