So, all the past Spidey movies have had "themes" to them. You know, like choice, responsibility, ect. ect.

What do you think the main theme of Spider-Man 4 should be? I personally think it should be Acceptance.

I've wondered the same.

1-Responsibility
2-Sacrifice and destiny
3-Revenge and forgiveness

I love how they have themes, I'd like the fourth movie to continue this.

Acceptance is great. Peter and MJ must both accept that he is Spider-Man and Dr. Connors must accept that he will never be 'whole' again as in another arm. But acceptance isn't as powerful as a single word for a Spider-Man movie.

Singing, dancing, juvenile antics, kidnapping, love triangles and mask removal in public.

That's going to be the theme of Spider-Man 4, just like SM1, SM2 and SM3.

lol, vis.

Pessimist.

I'll concede that I'd like SM4 not to have the whole musical theme happening. It was almost like that Buffy episode . . . Once More With Feeling.

- Redemption (Spider-Man and the public; Connors struggling to hold onto humanity)
- Importance of Family (Peter & MJ; Connors and his family, maybe Aunt May is ill?)

Those are two themes I've come up with in an SM4 outline I've created. I might get around to actually writing it out someday.

Didn't MJ already accept the fact that Pete is Spidey and what his life is like when she ran all the way to Peter's apt in 2?

You must have missed SM3. :o

But yeah, In SM4 Peter and MJ need to accept that he'll always be Spider-Man, Connors needs to accept that he'll never have his arm again, Peter must accept that he'll make very big mistakes, Kraven should accept the fact that he's not the "perfect hunter" (but he won't, thus dying in the process to prove that he is), and Peter must accept that Aunt May dies (in the very end).

Spider-man-Responsibility
Spider-man 2-Sacrifice and destiny
Spider-man 3-Revenge and forgiveness
Spider-man 4-The Goddamn Batman comes to Town.

The theme for the final three films of the franchise should follow Spider-Man's Symbolism to the world. How he can't simply make a difference on his own, he's teaching the people how they can make a difference. Every superhero represents that, but I believe it should be Spider-Man who shows us up-front.

Quick, Spidey! To the Nolan-mobile!

At this point, do the next series of films need a theme?

i want violence, call me crazy, but compared to films like hulk or batman or any superhero film except fantastic 4 . There was a much darker edge to characters in those movies and i ould like to see it

The "With great power comes great responsibility" talk should come in and bite Peter in the butt

Acceptance is great! I also thought monster within would be good, but without the black suit it wont work.
