acceptance is good, mj coming to terms with spiderman, lizard accepting his family/one arm, and possibly aunt may having a natural illness/old age

The theme should focus on his new direction, as he no longer has the whole Harry/Goblin thing looming over his head.

I think Acceptance could really work in a lot of ways. Good timing to perhaps kill off Aunt May, as much as we love her.

Loyalty. Peter gets beaten by the Lizard and barely escapes. Kraven comes to hunt the Lizard and Peter must decide if Connors is better off dead or captured. Meanwhile, he and MJ have a difficult time repairing their relationship.

:(

I am really bored with that relationship now. I wouldn't mind them being happy in the next one. Just a nice stable relationship in the midst of whatever chaos there is.

I didnt explain my idea very well. While he and MJ are on the rocks, he and Gwen are getting closer. Yes, another love triangle. It does tie into the theme of loyalty, though.

Spidey would want to give up on the Lizard and on MJ. Peter would learn to stick things through, even when they are difficult. An important lesson for a hero, no?

Agreed on that. As long as it's a vehicle for the story, then I don't mind. I just don't want drama for the sake of it.

I'm torn between what Eggy & Demo are saying. They both have interesting points.
I started a thread which was closed for being somewhat similar to this one. Basically, I was saying that the posters for the first movie all basically emphasized the introduction of Spider-Man.

Here we just see the awesomeness of a living, breathing Spider-Man, doing what he does.
The second movie's posters seemed to focus on the conflict between what he wanted to do & what he had to do, while sharing some of that focus on his struggle with Ock.

In virtually all of them, we saw Ock reflected in his eyes, his costume slightly torn in some of them-I think "Sacrifice" represented the movie best.
And the third movie's posters all focused on the internal struggle between him & the symbiote.

He's wearing one in reality & seeing the other in his reflection, as if it's saying "the real Spider-Man is still in there somewhere."
So my question is, depending on what theme you'd have them go with, how to best represent that theme?

Well, I like the idea of acceptance... so0oo, what about a poster that is the classic half and half? Half Pete, half Spidey face. The two can can co-exist.

Oh yeh. My bad :o

I was thinking after I wrote it that it would fit Spidey 2 better. I should work for SONY

Or as stable as a relationship can be in which the guy routinely puts on colorful tights & willfully puts himself in harm's way.

Of course!

He wasn't kidding in Spidey 1 when he said it was 'all about the girl'. But, I'll admit that I wouldn't mind them giving the on-again-off-again, now-I'm-:cmad:-now-I--you realtionship a back seat. There are other things they can use as catalysts for drama in Pete's life.

Except it's been done.

maybe, they can do a half Connor half lizard concept to show that, then

how about, a Peter (with mask off) in the suit, holding or hugging, MJ
to show that she has accepted him as both Peter and spider-man, and he is fully comfortable with being both around her

Not a bad idea. Whats your proposed story line?

Dammit, I typed up a whole damn proposal for you guys to see. And for some reason, it said I wasn't signed in. Which I was.

But maybe some other time, I'll type up an outline or try to find one I wrote a while ago, and post it up here. Damn, I really wanted you guys to see it.

Yeah its done that to me too. :cmad:

It signs you off if you havent responded in a certain amount of time. I take the time to type up a long post and when I'm finally done its signed me off.

I hate when that happens. I endure that pain at least once a week.

They did one just like that for Spidey 3. :oldrazz:
