Nightwing was killed off but what is the explanation for why characters from the first game arent in this?

Speaking of which, when is WB going to announce Nightwing as a Premium skin for Robin?

Well half the characters involved from the first game went back to their own universe at the end of the first one. Including the living nightwing. And damian has gear that gives him a nightwing look i believe.

Nightwing is dead, so thats why he isnt in the game. Its a big part of character development between Batman and Robin here. I cant recall but I cant recall anyone specific outside of him being referenced and I dont read the books

Thats what Damian has but its not quite the same. A Nightwing Premier skin completely changes him to Dick complete with the voice, ending and unique character dialogues. Id prefer him as his own playable but a premier sking would suffice

and Joker is dead in the Injustice universe, but somehow he's still in this game.

Alright gotcha. I dont see that happening though bc they did give Robin a Nightwing ability that changes his moveset. Bc of that, the chances of Nightwing appearing as one of the DLC characters is slim to none, which is why a Premier skin is the best shot

I don't think Premier Skins get their own unique endings.

The DLC charcters for this have been a little unexciting. I mean Manta is cool and all but it's weird to have two MK characters when we don't even have Martian man hunter, Shazam, etc.

Everyone knew the silhouette was obviously Raiden's. We were just hoping it was going to be some kind of a fake out like the "Baraka" silhouette in MKX.

Unfortunately very much true. One of the pack 3 guys is Atom. Spawn is a must. Hellboy was the second most requested after Spawn

I was really hoping Manta's rocket would blow Raiden to hell, in place of another character, or otherwise be part of some sort of fakeout. Of course, it didn't. Lame.

Giddy about the other two. Hellboy was a nice surprise.

To be fair, some people were hoping Boon was trolling with that silhouette. After all, Hellboy didn't have one when the first three DLCs were unveiled.

I'd have no problem with Raiden if he was the sole MK guest character. But with a limited DLC roster ( 9 ), they've now spent 2 slots on MK characters. when 1 of those slots could have gone to another DC character, like Raven or Beast Boy.

this is a DC fighting game and I want DC characters in it.

you could even argue that guests like Hellboy and/or Spawn also take away from DC characters.

let's say Spawn is in FP 3. that would make almost half of the DLC characters ( 4 out of 9 ) guest characters.

I can't comprehend why they didn't give us Static Shock or Black Lightning instead. And is Raiden even that popular? I was already against Sub-Zero being in this, but now Raiden too, that annoys me to no end.

After what was said about how popular Scorpion was as DLC for IGAU, I expected Sub-Zero at some point. One MK character, whatever. Two is taking the piss though. Consider that they worked up concept art for Static, had his design all ready to go, decided against him being on the roster (apparently) and then, shoehorned Raiden into the mix. Again, lame.
