[FONT=&quot]Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced the Injustice 2 Championship Series Presented by PlayStation 4. This is a global esports program for the upcoming Injustice 2.
The program offers amateur and pro players throughout North America, Europe, and Latin America placement to compete in different programs for a portion of the total prize pool of $600,000. The winners from each program will qualify for the grand finals scheduled for Fall 2017.
These various programs include:
Injustice Pro Series

On May 26, broadcasted live on Twitch, the Injustice Pro Series will have 16 finalists from around the world. The finals take place on September 17 in Los Angeles.
Injustice GameStop Hometown Heroes

This tournament is a new way to compete if you aren't in the pro series.Open online qualifier tournaments begin June 4. Eight Regional Finals tournaments will take place at local GameStop locations on August 12, leading up to the Hometown Heroes Finals at the 2017 GameStop Consumer Expo in Las Vegas on August 27.
Injustice Path to Pro Tournament

European fans have another chance to compete in the Championship Series with the Path to Pro Tournament. This competition opens on May 20 for players in Benelux Union, France, Germany, Nordic territories, Italy, Spain and UK. This is open to those not already in the Pro Series. The finals will be held on August 19 with 12 finalists from participating territories.
Injustice 2 Liga Latina

Players from the South American countries of Argentina, Chile, Mexico and Peru have a chance to win in the Liga Latina. Operated by Gamelta esports Professional League, online and offline qualifier tournaments will be help for each region starting in May. The winning players from each country will face off in the finals on August 13.

A five-minute overview of the fighting game ahead of release.

Warner Bros. and NetherRealm Studios have released a new trailer for Injustice 2 introducing “everything you need to know” about the game.




Here’s an overview at what the video showcases, via Warner Bros.:

The video gives players a closer look at the game’s Story Mode and the variety of Super Hero and Super-Villain alliances at play, including factions led by the Dark Knight, Gorilla Grodd, and others, along with wild card characters like Supergirl and Swamp Thing.



Players will also get an introduction to the brand new social experience that Injustice 2 is bringing to the fighting game scene. In the game, players will be able to form a guild with up to 50 other players to share gear and build their own team of Super Heroes. They’ll also earn gear and other rewards that are exclusive to guild gameplay in daily and weekly cooperative objectives as they collaborate with friends to climb the worldwide leaderboards.


This comprehensive overview has everything players need to prepare for the launch of Injustice 2 on May 16 – from an in-depth look at the new Gear System, to a sneak peek at Multiverse mode and even the Injustice 2 mobile experience.

Its too bad they gave Supergirl short hair bc Power Girl looks just like her. The hair was the main distinguishing physical feature between the two

Boon hinted that there will be more premiere skins come later. Each skin will have it's own unique voice, two shaders and (not confirmed but rumored) abilities. Grid and Mr. Freeze premiere skins are confirmed for Cyborg and Captain Cold respectively.

Expect to see Crime Syndicate Premier skins. And yeah, I hope they add more!!

There are A LOT of DC Rebirth Premier Skins I'd like to see in Injustice 2. Kong Kenan (speaking Chinese LOL) and Lana Lang Superwoman. John Diggle for Deadshot. Maybe Simon or Kyle Green Lanterns. Strawberry Wally's new Flash suit. Super-Lex in his armor.

I would pay a reasonable price for all of those.

And I like IJ2 John Stewart. He looks like Lance Reddick who would have been perfect casting 10-20 years ago.

This is the most disappointing Premier Skin. Vixen really should have been her own character with her own Moveset.

Vixen being a premier skin is a huge waste of her potential. Her abilities warrant her having her own spot and there are plenty of other animal abilities she can mimic aside from wildcats.

It might just be me, but seeing Vixen as a premier skin lessens the chance for Beast Boy. As it's mapped in my mind, if they were up for incorporating multiple animal attacks types, they would have tied those two together and just made whatever stylistic changes in incorporating those attack forms, specific to the character's defined power. Although, hard as it might be to believe, I've been wrong before.

It would have been great to have Mari as a full-fledged character.

This just really annoys me. It would have made more sense to have Cheetah be a Premier Skin for Catwoman, than Vixed being a skin for Cheetah. I was neutral on the character, didn't like or dislike her. Now I think she's a wasted spot, when we could have had someone more awesome in her place.

There are several reasons why that wouldn't work though. For one thing, some of Catwoman's moves wouldn't even make sense for Cheetah to have. Plus depending on what type of character you were using in the first game, they'd use the interactables differently. Power users could lift heavy objects and hit their opponent with it. Gadget users would plant explosives on them. It looks like the same thing is gonna apply for Injustice 2. Catwoman is regular human being and can't lift up things such as trucks whereas Cheetah can since she has super strength and it wouldn't make sense for her to be using explosives.
