I edited this post after watching storymode (last chapter). Man is storymode epic!!!! It deserves the big screen treatment but man are there going to be some pissed off fanbases!!

The Regime vs Insurgency is very much alive!! Also there are two different endings depending on who you side with, Superman or Batman! Superman fans are undoubtedly going to be pissed with both endings. Wonder Woman fans likely won't be happy with Diana's portrayal either.

Swamp Thing, Atrocitus and the Society only exist to take the L's but ill admit it was fun seeing the heroes take on their foes (ie WW vs Cheetah, Flash vs Zoom, GL vs Atrocitus, Batman vs Bane). The Blue Beetle and Firestorm chapter was easily my favorite simply based on the two characters bromance and cool powersets!

As for deaths well

Glad I'm a Batman and Green Lantern guy! I like Supes and others but those two are by far my favorite DC heroes with Batman being my favorite comic hero in general

I'm not even a huge Superman fan and even I was disappointed that they didn't go down that route. I think that would have been perfect! That way Injustice 3 could have centered on uniting a fractured JL while Darkseid invades with a resurrected Superman.

Anyway I think it's kind of obvious that Batman's ending is the one that'll end up cannon.

I kind of wish that they would bring back the JL from the original world (where Superman didn't go crazy and start the regime).

That would be great for Injustice 3's story. Use the multiverse, have Flash from Earth One find a way to the game's world then bring the JL over to confront the regime again. Maybe there could be a third universe invade too to make it more interesting like Clark being Super Boy, Flash being evil, Batman being a younger rookie, Kyle Rayner being Green or White Lantern, etc something like that.

Movie skins could be dlc and be called the DCEU Universe Pack.

The frustrating thing is that I feel like the game was really setting up for

a redemption arc for Superman.

Moments like him and Batman standing over the former League table and them working together to fight against Brainiac. Hell, I thought when he took over control of Brainiac's ship and Bruce said that it could kill him, that it was going to result in a noble sacrifice for Superman.

I really don't like how they pretty much have to make Batman the hero of both stories. For someone that's supposedly the underdog, he's always chosen as the clear favorite and never allowed to lose in the fights that matters most against Superman.

Thankfully though, this Injustice universe is just another world and isn't presented as the canon DC universe.

I really wish they would have made a mention of the league from the other world that were vital in defeating the regime and how it was that world's Superman who put the evil one in prison in the first place.

it should've been Supergirl who got the story focus in the end and take down Brainiac. The opening intertwines him into her backstory. It would've been far more satisfying if she got to defeat him instead of Batman yet again.

I always love me some Lantern Corps but you all know my multiverse idea is good even though kinda basic. Who doesn't want earth one characters back?

Unless..they go with Nathan's idea and have this universe's Flash go back in time to change the past. But then maybe accidently creates another Flashpoint incident or perhaps soon after Superman spares Joker, Darkseid invades and some villains join him and so it now becomes Darkseid's Regime in a war against heroes

A brief summary of the arcade/multiverse ending for each character.

AQUAMAN: Finds dimension hopping machine hidden in ocean by Lex. Plots to take down the Regime.

ATROCITUS: Destroys Braniac's ship effectively killing billions (collected cities). Becomes Indigo Lantern due to remorse.

BANE: Defeats the heroes, releases prisoners and effectively becomes an overlord of all the criminals

BATMAN: Secludes himself in order to prepare for Superman's return. Leaves Hal/Barry in charge of training the younger heroes.

BLACK ADAM: Khandaq is destroyed and his wife is dead. Joins forces with Ra's Al Ghul in order to use the Lazarus Pits to resurrect her.

BLACK CANARY: Connor develops meta human powers like her. Tries to balance heroics and motherhood.

BLUE BEETLE: Gets offer to lead the Justice League but turns it down in favor of living a normal life, for now.

BRAINIAC: Brainac 5 comes from the futures and defeats his ancestor. The Legion of Supeheroes make a cameo.

CAPTAIN COLD: Betrays Grodd and joins forces with Flash. Becomes a superhero.

CATWOMAN: Her and Bruce become official. She gets bored, leaves him and steals a motherbox.

CHEETAH: Uses Braniac's collected worlds as her prey. Hunts and kills in order to appease her patron goddess.

CYBORG: Merges with Briniac's ship and attempts to restore every stolen city. Reunites with the Titans

DEADSHOT: The explosive in his head is removed. He reunites with his daughter. Definitely a White guy under the mask.

DR FATE: Gives up his role as Fate and with the help of Zatanna and Constantine hides from the Lords of Order.

FIRESTORM: Goes nuclear and destroys Brainac's ship. Feels guilty about accidentally killing everyone trapped in the collected cities so he retires, for now.

FLASH: Uses the speed force to trap Brainiac at the end of history. Reunites with the other speedsters to protect the multiverse from an incoming threat.

GRODD: Betrays Brainiac and takes over his technology. Becomes Emperor Grodd, a galatic conqueror.

GREEN ARROW: Returns to his Earth only to find Brainac in the process of taking it over. Joins a multiverse JL in order to stop him.

GREEN LANTERN: Takes Brainiac to Oa. Sinestro escapes and Hal goes under cover as a Yellow Lantern to take him down.

HARLEY QUINN: Offered a spot on the JL. Fights urges to relapse and secretly yearns for a life with her daughter.

JOKER: Joker being the Joker decides to release all the collected cities on Earth. Chaos and a blood bath ensues as a result.

POISON IVY: Uses Brainiac to destroy human civilization. She effectively upsurges Swamp Thing as ruler of the green.

ROBIN: Has a change of heart when Batman sacrifices himself to save him. Damian takes on the legacy of Batman!

SCARECROW: Takes control of Brainiac's ship. Uses the people in the collected worlds as his own lab rats.

SUPERGIRL: Joins the newly established JL. Waiting for the right time to restore the Krytonian cities Brainiac collected.

SUPERMAN: Uses Brainiac's collection to build up a new Regime of the universe's greatest warriors. Calls them the Legion of Superheroes.

SWAMP THING: Defeats Brainiac and becomes Earth's true guardian as the ruler of the Green.

WONDER WOMAN: Takes down Brainiac. Use the Regime to imprison the Insurgency and take down her Amazonian sisters in Themyscira.
