I've been playing Injustice 2 since it released. Haven't really invested in playing the Joker much. Does anyone know if perhaps he has a classic Red Hood gear set or the clown from Shang Tsung's fatality in MK9 gear set?

Really surprised Lobo wasn't a playable character. I know he's not that popular anymore, but this is the type of game he belongs in. Old school spikey haired-side burn Lobo. I was happy to see him in the first one though.

Yeah. I had read a Lobo comic or two way back when. Liked his appearances in the Superman cartoon as a kid. Would appreciate seeing him return.

Ok, I am playing the mobile version of the game (Android) and I started playing Arena for the first time yesterday. Any idea how to more up ranks faster? There is almost no way I will be able to move up to Elite and collect all the shards for Mystic Wonder Woman in 4 days and I really want it.

I grinded Wonder Woman to level 20 all this week and just completed her Multiverse event. Her movie costume is pretty sweet. I prefer it over all the pants I keep getting. Does she have her jacket from the books? If not, I hope its added to complete that look

I'm going to have to reroll that gear a few times this weekend. Stats on the legs was weak. Great look though.

If only it came with face mapping and new dialogue from Gal so I could better pretend that this Wonder Woman isn't awful.

I did the same. She has other shorts and different tops, but I haven't seen any jackets so far though. The movie gear is quite nice. I like it in the Circe colour scheme.

Does leveling up the gear to your current level not improve your stats? I've yet to use that feature myself.

Yeah. They've really went with the Lady MacBeth angle with Wonder Woman. An interesting angle, but I wish they would have explained her motivation a bit more. Especially since the previous game established there is an alternate Earth version of her who is essentially the same person except good.

It improves the stats commensurately if you're at a particularly higher level than the gear is (i.e. Level 12 character upgrading Level 4 gear). When you're at the same level, it mostly just redistributes the points. That's done with any leveling up, but is more pronounced when the gear jumps levels with you. Sometimes after a reroll... or several (and this is my hope), you get a notable increase in points or some buff that renders the gear much better.

I wasnt a fan of the visuals at first until I went and played Injustice. Man, that game looks ugly.The environments are stale and all the models lack detail. Its made me appreciate Injustice 2 more. I also noticed that I had HDR off, so that made things better when I enabled it

And yes it was a miss not having WW's face to Gadot's when you equip her head gear

One of her interactions with Harley has her saying that Harley and Batman are irredeemable. Wow, talk about the pot calling the kettle black. I like the theory that she [BLACKOUT] is in fact Circe [/BLACKOUT]bc NRS went overboard with her. She's the character I hate the most in the game with absolutely no redeeming qualities

I think we can forget ever seeing alternate costume skins as DLC. It will all be gear now.

Not necesarily. Premier skins exist and Im sure they can sell alternate costume gear packs

One thing I will say is that NRS figured out how to microtransaction the heck out of this game with this gear system. Even though its a grind, at least most of the items so far are obtainable for free with a bit of work and i actually feel like I make progress unlike some other games

I managed to beat cheetah in the wonder woman multiverse event with a level 11 wonder woman on my first try

even with the standard face I like the movie gear, its the closest thing to classic wonder woman in the game. I agree shes a super beotch in this game and has no redeeming qualities, they even implied that she

Before the release of Injustice 2, NetherRealm Studios hinted at what characters we might see in future DLC, and Black Manta’s dome-and-tube ensemble was clearly distinguishable from his silhouette.
Now, we’re getting a closer look at Black Manta’s render from NetherRealm artist Jessie Graybeal’s ArtStation page.

To be clear, this is the model for Black Manta when he shows up as an NPC during the Altantis stage transition. This is not a model for a playable version of Black Manta.
However, this Black Manta model definitely shares a striking resemblance to one of the DLC character silhouettes, especially in his spiky jet pack, his football-shaped helmet and his excessively meaty thighs.

That being said, if Black Manta is going to be a playable character with what we can assume will be a slightly different, more detailed character model, will he still be in the stage transition? Maybe it will be a Black Manta from another dimension. Heck, NetherRealm utilizes flimsier plot devices than that to shoehorn a few of its characters into the game.
We have to also take into account the recent kerfuffle over a supposed leak of a list detailing the remaining DLC characters. The leak—which did list Black Manta as one of the characters—was called “fake” by a prominent YouTuber in a tweet, which was then shared by Ed Boon, the creative director of NetherRealm Studios. This doesn’t mean that Black Manta is not going to be a DLC character, it just means that we’re not sure if Black Manta is not not a DLC character. Or not.
Anyway, take a look at Red Hood, who we do know is going to be a DLC character. At least, we think we know. We think.

Martian man hunter? He was made playable with the last game as dlc. He was a stage back ground thing before that though.

Ok, I bought the game yesterday, immediately after seeing WW (loved the movie, by the way)! I jumped straight into the "To End All Wars" Multiverse event in order to obtain her film gear. As far as I know the event ends tomorrow, so I leveled her up all the way to level 20 while playing versus with my gf (fastest way to level up) before jumping into Multiverse.

However, even on max level, I stuck at one fight in one of the events (Supergirl fight) since I am a newbie and really can't do any combos. Since I am very short on time today, I decided to put WW in AI mode in order to complete the event.

My question is: Do I still get all the film gear by completing the whole thing in AI mode? I noticed that she wins every time against any opponent that way. Isn't this a bit of a... cheating, however? What is the catch?

I really want to obtain all the film gear, but I fear I might have messed something up by putting her into AI mode and basically go... the easy way. At the same time I am running short on time and can't attempt certain fights numerous times, hence why going AI mode.

You'll still get the gear. I put my level 12 WW on AI against the level 20 cheetah and it won completing the WW movie look.

Before I even bought the game, I thought getting the film gear would have been amazingly hard and it turns out you can still get it by putting the battles into AI mode without doing almost anything.

I went through the whole event again in order not to feel bad about doing this and this time played everything by myself and beat all opponents, including Cheetah. I really hope the gear stays, though (even if obtained by AI battles).

Something to note, in this game on braniacs ship and in the red son prison, if you use braniac he's not in his chair and supes isnt in the prison.

I really need to catch up on leveling up my characters.
Scarecrow, at the moment, is my absolute favorite to play as. He's beastly!

I'm still trying to figure out all of the components to the Multiverse.
I hate how they randomly disappear on you.

I've been playing for 2 days and I noticed something.

I am not good at fighting games, but I really like Injustice 2. I am not a fighting type of player and I have trouble syncing by brain with what I input as combos (and usually I end up either canceling a combo or just mashing the wrong buttons halfway throughout it).

With that being said, do you think I can still enjoy the game, even if not being able to do good combos, but just basic ones? The only thing combos affect will be the multiplayer experience when playing against real players, right? In singleplayer, I can simply adjust the difficulty (except Multiverse, of course).

What do you think?

-Mr.Freeze premium skin now has his glass helmet
-motherbox prices went up, bronze is now 5K instead of 1K not sure about the others
-multiverse now gives out better rewards, someone reported platinum mother box for beating the 5 stage arcade ladder

Glad I went on that mega-purchase run of Bronze motherboxes this weekend. I'm reading Silver went to 10K and Gold stays at 25K. While they're jacking up prices (which they should have because I was making credits overall off buying/selling), it would have been nice to get a way to buy/open in bulk.

I'm also reading some amendments to the character roster have made, particular to Red Hood (not available for purchase yet), possibly Raiden and what people are citing as The Atom. The latter two are silhouettes and are entirely still troll material.

im so irritated, last night I opened about 100K worth of bronze boxes and I had a sneaking feeling they were going to raise bronze prices, so I wanted to spend the rest of my money (500K) on bronze boxes, but then I got tired of opening boxes and stopped, now they are 5X as much!!

I managed to get some good abilities though, got the staff of grayson, and got the wonder woman leg slide move, and soul of shazam for black adam

That's a good haul! Staff of Grayson, Diana's (Not So Electric) Slide and the Cat Call ability are what I've been after. Picked up a lot of shaders in the interim, though not that Batman Noir one I've had my eyes on.
